Upcider is awesome - huge cider selection, great food (the flatbreads are especially good), and awesome second floor seating... with a corner view. One of my favorite places in the city. They didn?t post any notice that they?re on vacation for now (askedthe waitress at the bar downstairs to find out what?s going on) and sounds like they?ll be open again in a couple weeks. (Anupdate here or on their website would be helpful). UPDATE?a little late: they are indeed back open as of November 2022. Read more

All around great! Cool vibe, huge selection of top quality ciders, and very reasonably priced. Owner was very welcoming and... knowledgeable. My only regret is I didn't come hungry. Read more

Review from 2018: Upcider is a unique concept. They specialize in ciders on tap, but also have a few bottled beers. The vibe is... really cool - the bar is located on the second floor of a building right on the corner of Polk street. On a busy Friday orSaturday night, you can have a nice view of everyone walking around Polk street. They also have a few things on the food menu.We ordered the sweet potato fries and the charcuterie plate. Read more

A nice second floor location with large glass walls. Nice for city watching. A great cider selection. Usually not very busy.... The staff is very nice, and the buffalo fries are pretty good. Read more

Best cider Bar! Only had 20hrs in San Francisco and this place is Amazing. When looking for Gastropubs in San Francisco,... Upcider is the place to try. We had pull pork and Cajun chicken sandwich and the cauliflowers as an appetizer. Ozzy was agreat host, and made great recommendations for their hard cider. Coming from Manhattan, this a must try! I was introduced to this place prior, where it's $20 for a flight of 6. While the flights are limited to the selection on the... board, there is a huge selection of ciders for individual glasses. Unfortunately, I don't recall all the flight flavors we got, they all tasted amazing. We also go the mango raspberry cider and pineapple passionfruit cider. The mango raspberry was ourfavorite, definitely tasted like a sparking juice. The pineapple one was a bit more tart, but also really good. We also orderedthe garlic fries. The garlic wasn't as much as I hoped, but the fries were still really good. I would definitely come backagain. The food is a bit expensive for average portions, but the flatbreads are prob the best for value. It's definitely a niceplace to hang out (a little dark if anything). I would definitely recommend to share a flight since it is 6 glasses. Read more

This place is my go-to for a drink/brunch in the neighborhood. The ambiance is always relaxed (even during the weekend... evenings), and the staff are super friendly and helpful! If you want to bring a group of friends to hang out there, they also doreservations as well. Beer and cider menus have their established brands on the menu, and rotating beers and ciders on tap. Thefood is AMAZING and always fresh! Highly recommend their brunch menu, and their meatballs dish. Any bar food essentials are alsovery tasty. All in all, I love Upcider because it's my place to unwind after a long day, and/or a place to bring my friends tohang out. This establishment will always have a place in my heart (and my belly).
