Nice neighborhood restaurant. The college crowd was a bit to loud and drunk for me. The food and service were good!
Updated review: 5/13/2022: A lunch at Underdogs Too is a good way to start the weekend. I had the Pozole (pork stew) $12.50 and... two Nick's way Baja fish tacos $17 + Negra Modelo $6. There were slight mishaps though. When my tacos first arrived, they weresomeone else's two taco order. It was a chorizo and a fish taco. Luckily I checked before eating them. Obviously I had to waitlonger because they remade my order. That means another customer received my order. Oops. O wells. When my tacos finallyarrived, I had to ask for more tomatoes (pico) as per my original order. Again, more waiting. That lunch rush might have causedthe indoor dining room staff to mess up. Stuff happens. Updated review 2/16/2022: We tried coming here a few Sundays ago butthere was a line out the door just to get in. We decided to postpone our Underdogs visit to a weekday instead. Last night we had2x Nick's way baja fish tacos $7.75 each, chorizo taco $6.50, steak taco $6.50, chips with salsa & guac $8.50, beans and rice$2.50 and pints of refreshing beer. My friend and I were arguing which is better, Underdogs' full bar and beer selection or thedelicious food that their kitchen puts out. On one hand, there's always new exciting beers to try here. On the other hand, wenoticed their meats are always very savory with authentic spices. O, I almost forgot to mention their green and red saucebottles on the table. Regardless, their staff should get a lot of credit because the bartenders are awesome, waitstaff superattentive and the kitchen crew are just plain wonderful. My only regret is that I need a bigger stomach to fit more of theirtacos. One minor nit pick though. Did their chips get harder? I realized the roof of my mouth was all cut up after eating a fewchips. Maybe I ate it too fast again. Original review: Underdogs Too is more than a predominant sports bar. I love the livelyatmosphere, the friendly staff, great bartenders, plenty of TV's and awesome chefs/menu. This location is l Read more
The folks at Andytown recommended Underdogs so we gave it a try and I?m glad we did. Although a new employee mistakenly took our... order for a San Francisco burrito over the Santa Fe breakfast burrito, both were incredibly delicious, packed with flavor, andthe ingredients were well distributed. The restaurant had a Mexicali-style, beach-style vibe with heavy burritos and grilledtortillas. Both our selections were delicious, but the San Francisco burrito (like a California burrito without the fries) wasthe star in my mind and I can?t wait to come back for another. Oh and the chips and salsa were also excellent. Read more
THIS PLACE IS GREAT. My family has been here twice recently. We got different things each time and we were not disappointed each... time. We tried the San Diego and San Francisco burritos. Both yummy. What really impressed me was the floutas. I got one in eachflavor. Chicken, beef and carrot??? Yes, order it!! The carrot was sooo good. My child even liked it. And she loved the horchataand pancakes. Ok, i have come back 3 more times now, LOOK at these Nacho?s! Need I say more?.. except ????delicious. Gotta comeback for more, especially on the weekend, since they only serve pancakes on the weekend! Read more
I ordered a grilled veggie quesadilla. I'm so embarrassed for them to present this soggy wrap to me. It was literally swimming... in a pool of grease. Some veggies were grilled but others seemed to be steamed or microwaved. I couldn't even pick it up it wasso soggy. I refused to eat and complained I was offered chicken tacos which were so dry. We won't be eating here ever again. Bigwaste of money. Read more
Really good Tacos in a local gem. Underdogs Too is back after a fire and a refurbishment. The food is just as good as ever. Get... the chips, salsa and guac to start, then some tacos for a great meal. We sat outside, in their very good parklet. The service isexcellent and the food outstanding. An Outer Sunset spectacular. I had the mahi burrito, a glass of water, chips and salsa, churros. The water and the churros were the best tasting. Burrito was... gawd awful. It was oversaturated with sauce, the Cole slaaw was old and soggy. The breaded mahi tasted freezer burned and thebreading was falling off of it. The chips were over cooked or the oil they were cooked in was bad, or cheap? Not sure what theproblem is with the chips but I've had the same problem at the other Underdogs restaurant so it must be product quality or howthey are prepared. They just don't taste right. The burrito was the worst though. I could not eat it. They also do not offermilitary discount to veterans. I did have a chance to talk to Jonathan who said he was one of the managers and was able to voicemy concerns about the food. He was very nice and I hope they are able to make things better with my feedback. Read more
