San Francisco needs more hole in the wall, family owned restaurants like this. I came in for takeout, asked the woman what she... recommended, and left with Bun Bo Hue and a dessert. Tasted just like I had in Vietnam While I was waiting she made me a freeiced tea without even asking. Food 5/5, hospitality 5/5 They take credit card Read more

Not many come here even though it's only a block away from Turtle Tower and Ler Ros. The restaurant barely listed on Google... map. The family shop came from central region of Vietnam, and their best dishes reflect that. Bun Bo Hue (vermicelli souporiginated in imperial capital Hue) is its signature item. It is mildly spicy. Bun rieu is excellent. Banh canh is udon type ofnoodle soup. Rice porridge/congee is also superb. Worth an experience beyond pho. Read more

A nice place to have Vietnamese food! Small family run restaurant that makes you feel you are in a mini Vietnam when visiting... this place to eat. Definitely try their Bun Bo Hue and the Banh Uot #13. The Vietnamese iced coffee here is legit and tastedgreat. The coffee was in a cup and you can smell the nice aroma from it. Overall, service, food, and cleanliness is good. Highlyrecommend! Read more

In an area with many Vietnamese restaurants, this is definitely a hole in the wall where you can enjoy homemade Vietnamese... cuisine. We tried several dishes including their Bun Bo Hue and they were all decent. Anything better you would need to go toSan Jose. Read more

Tenderloin has an abundance of Vietnamese restaurants in-fact there are as many as 8 specialized Pho restaurants apart from banh... mi and coffee shops. I randomly decided to try Tuyet Mai one Saturday afternoon for lunch. At the peak lunch hour, it wascompletely empty. This seemed a bit odd as most other Vietnamese restaurants usually have a wait at this time. Anyway, as I hadalready committed myself I decided to push ahead and get something. After going through the menu, I decided to get the Duckcurry noodle soup ($9.30) as I had not seen this item at other Pho restaurants. I had to pay cash as I think I did not hit theminimum required for cards. After ordering it was a long 20+ minute wait for getting the food. It seemed that the kitchen wasworking on a large to-go order of almost 10 servings that they had to fulfill before they could attend to my order. I got twocontainers, a large plastic container with the soup and another small Chinese to-go container with the noodles which was a goodstart as it prevented the noodles from soaking up all the broth by the time I reached home. Let’s start with the good stuff. The duck noodle soup was pretty good. Even though there were no big chunks of duck meat its flavor came through pretty well. Iwas expecting it to be very salty but it turned out to be properly seasoned. Now for the bad. The quantity of noodles that I gotwas very tiny, filling about half the small to-go container. What’s worse if that they were small stands that seemed to beleft over from the large order. It was as if they just took all the leftover noodles from the last order and packed those offfor me. This is just not done. Goes without saying that I did not like what I got. Price-wise it was pretty cheap and inlinewith what you would pay at other Pho restaurants in the hood. Unfortunately, the quality of the noodles let these folks downwhich is a pity as the soup itself was pretty good. I’m going to attribute this to maybe a onetime thing and Read more

Best bowl of pho I've had. Small hole in the wall, feels like home cooking.
