Ham & cheese croissant is the best pastry on their menu. The pain au chocolat was disappointing, the chocolate baton they use... is too bitter. The classic croissant was okay, but it needs more salt in the dough. Also had a sour taste? Not sure if they adddiscard to their dough but it?s weird. Keep the viennoiserie sourdough free please. Their lattes are good and the beans theyuse are not too acidic. Read more

Phenomenal, well worth the hype. Their country sourdough bread is unmatched by anything I?ve tried before. The slice with salmon... on top exceeded all expectations (the preserved lemon really elevates it) Read more

The smoked salmon Tartine is to die for. The bread is toasted to perfect, the cheese, pickled red onions, mustard seeds, dill... all work together beautifully. The smoked salmon is delicate and buttery, almost sashimi-like. I like the sunset location bcit?s less busy than the other locations. Love this place for breakfast/brunch. Their egg breakfast sandwich is great. Wouldrecommend. Read more

this is the fourth time I've been to a tartiness over that last 14 years. Every time have been a disappointment. I don't get the... hype. everything is overcooked and under flavored. I has the pain au jamon and the bread was so bland. Only the ham and cheesemade it mostly eatable but it wasn't by any measure delishious. Bland and dry. So got a chocolate chunk cookie but you can seein the picture the dough was too runny and the cookie us overcooked. I've never had anything at Tartines that was good. it'sbeen 8 years since the last time . Though maybe I'd give them another try but it's has bad as always. Have to assume the hype isa PR firm or hynotism Read more

I went here for breakfast two days in a row because I was so happy with it. Got take out day 1 and did dine in day 2. You can?t... go wrong with tartine. There wasn?t much of a line when I was there at 10:30 both days. (Coffee note: cold brew was just okay. ) Read more

To die for bakery and coffee shop only a few blocks from Golden Gate Park. Highly recommend the Morning Bun- words cannot... describe how delicious they are. The almond croissant was also a hit. Grab a pastry and find a park bench. Only complaint isthat they don?t have decaf coffee. Read more

Bad croissant and very over-priced. I am never a huge fan of Tartine but I admitted they used to have good and reliable (though... pricey) bread and pastries. I decided to give them another chance after many years and got a croissant here. It didn't lookgood, it didn't feel good, it didn't smell good, it didn't taste good. Very mediocre stuff. The glazing is weird, it's soft andnot flaky at all, it doesn't smell rich and the layers are all flattened together. I forced myself to have a few bites so I cansee its side and that's all I wanted to do with this croissant. I had six croissants in my weekend trip back to the city andthis is definitely in the bottom half and about two dollars more expensive ($5.7 before tip) than the others. I do like thedecor and the vibe of the store and little patio so here you earned an extra star. Read more
