A fantastic find. This corner shop has delightful house-made specials. I've really enjoyed the Al Pastor tacos and Mexican rice.... The staff was very polite and helpful. The service was quick. They also have big, thick napkins! Read more
Everything was freshly made so it took a bit longer than traditional spots. Food was average. I liked the crispy tortilla they... used and how the salsa had lots of tomato instead of lots of onions. The only reason I couldn?t give 5 stars was the value ofthe meal. It feels like it?s a lot for what you get, but then again it is San Francisco and in the Filmore. In my search for a good Baja fish taco place, I stumbled across tacobar and was happy to see that they use local cod instead of... tilapia, which has a flavor I dislike. I ordered the Baja fish bowl, and we tried the Veracruz fish taco, short rib taco, andlamb quesabirrias. On paper, it all sounds really good, but in reality, it was overall so-so. The Baja fish was definitely thebest thing we ordered, and pretty tasty, but the horseradish crema on the short rib didn't do it any favors, and the lamb was onthe dry side. For how much everything cost, I don't think I would get anything except the Baja fish tacos. Read more
