Delicious and decadent food. Lovely atmosphere. Absolutely the best cheesecake I have ever had in my entire life. And FANTASTIC... service. Our server Mara was so attentive and seemed to truly care about the quality of my experience. When I ordered a winethat wasn?t right for me personally, she voluntarily brought some samples to my table so I would be better equipped with themenu so I would know what to order next time, because she genuinely wanted me to enjoy myself while I was there. She went aboveand beyond. Read more

Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: Food I felt was pretty standard fare. Would I come back: I'd come back if someone... really wanted to go. The extended review... Food: Osso Bucco: 3/5 - The flavor of the lamb was standard fare and the polentawas a good compliment to it. Brussel Sprouts: 3/5 - Again the flavor was pretty standard fare on this dish. Good to get someveggies in with my meal. Dark Chocolate Bundino - 4/5 - This was pretty darn tasty. I'd have to say I'd come back for thisthing since it's not just chocolate. Service: 4/5 - Friendly and attentive staff. Ambiance: 4/5 - A very cute set up and notat all claustrophobic. Read more

I chose Sorella as my restaurant of choice to spend my last night in San Francisco and loved it! Would definitely visit again... when I'm back in SF! I started with artichoke and straticella (which was surprisingly light), followed by rabbit and tomatofussilli (love how gaminess of the rabbit gave contrast to the slightly tart tomato past and ended with delicious medium rareduck breast (absolutely juicy and tender). Complimentary dishes included raw oysters served with vinaigrette granita (which wasrefreshingly delicious as the texture and tartness of the granita vinaigrette highlights the oyster starters) and potato hashserved with whipped burrata cream and Matsutake mushrooms (which was a playful treat to the tastebuds!) Service wasimpeccable! Thank you chef Denise for the complementary dishes! Both were an delicious sample and testament to innovativelyfresh and delectable dishes served in Sorella! Read more

Phenomenal ambiance! Relaxed yet cool, unpretentious delicious food to remember. We got the liberty duck breast and the potato... gnocchi. As soon as I took one bite into that duck breast, I knew that this was going to be a meal to remember. The drinks andthe service only served to enhance the meal: easily one of the best old-fashioned's that I've had. Read more

Been wanting to try post pandemic and booked early seating to celebrate friend's birthday. Note - it was packed for the early... bird seating ????. Looking back it was a great choice as we never felt rushed! We could not have asked for a better eveningbeginning with the hostess at check-in who not only confirmed the occasion but clarified whose birthday ????. Seated inrequested accommodation (booth) and the evening kicked off. Every staff person interacted with made us feel welcome and specialand took time ensuring needs were not only met but exceeded. It was nice not to hear let me get someone, instead they workedtogether as a obesive team. Since it was. Birthday, the conjunction du jour "and" ruled the evening. Started with sparklingrose and a negroni and more. Food ordered included oysters and grilled calamari and cauliflower and agnolloti and osso bucco andpork chop and dessert - see photos and excuse the half eaten photos (we were hungry and it was delish)! The portions wereperfect for sharing and having a treat the next day! Read more

Love the Old Fashioned! Was told that it was brand new on the menu and did not disappoint. The focaccia and artichokes were very... good. Squid ink linguini was probably the highlight. Loved the energy about the place and the servers were very nice. Overall, pretty solid! Read more

This is among 3 of the best Italian restaurants I ever tried in the whole USA and I live in New York so we have it all! Mushroom... Ravioli is an absolute must try plus their mezcal drink with amaro is one of the best mixology there is! I personally hate SanFrancisco but I would def come back just for this restaurant! Read more

Absolutely loved Sorella! It?s such a lively, beautiful restaurant, with delicious food and attentive service. The warm parmesan... budino is a must try, along with any of their pastas (we tried the short rib agnolotti) and we were very impressed by thequality and non-stingy portion sizes of each dish! Our only regret is that we didn?t have enough room in our stomachs to trymore of their food. Having tried their sister restaurant Acquerello recently, the bar was set pretty high, but Sorella blew itout of the water. We loved the more modern and informal approach to italian food while keeping the warm service and richflavors. Read more
