Reviews for Smokin' Warehouse Barbecue in San Francisco, CA
I passed by the restaurant again last Friday and saw a different woman, and I was curious, so I went inside. The lady noticed my... presence immediately when I stepped into the restaurant. She greeted me kindly with a beautiful big smile. I asked her manyquestions and she was able to answer it with confidence. I could tell that she was very experienced and knowledgeable of themenu and what was in the order. I asked her what was good and she recommended the pork rib platter. She has a business mind andthe owner is fortunate to have her as an employee. I would give her 6 stars if I could! Read more
The best beef brisket!! So smoky, juicy & tender. Great prices for high quality food. Our favorite bbq place in SF. No frills... and straight up home cooked style bbq. Read more
Charming place to get bbq. We had the food to go and we got - garlic noodles with brisket - half rack of ribs with spicy BBQ... sauce. The ribs fell off the bone and were so yum The brisket was tender and cubed and delicious. Definitely coming back, butlesson learned is to get the sauce on the side. Read more
Really nice staff and pretty quick. The brisket had great flavor but was a little fatty for my preference. The pulled pork was... very flavorful, and the ribs were tender and tasty, but an odd cut. The spicy BBQ sauce was a great addition to the meats. Woulddefinitely get the Mac and cheese again, and the fries were hot and crisp. My corn bread was a little dry, but the brownie wasmoist and chocolatey. Read more
*Experienced During COVID-19 Pandemic* Lovely little BBQ place. I called ahead to make a pickup order, and all went smooth.... Service was excellent; the person who served me was very friendly and helpful, above and beyond. I got the three meat platter, along with an extra side of garlic fries. Here's a breakdown of each: Pulled Pork: Very tasty, sweet flavor Beef Ribs: Cookedjust right, great with the mild BBQ sauce Beef Brisket: Texture was not the best, but still fine Mac and Cheese (side): Not thebest, not the worst. Nice to round out a meal. Chili (side): This was excellent; nice meat in it an a lovely spicierflavor Biscuit (came with meal): Quite dry, not the best Garlic fries (extra): Tons of fresh garlic, delicious All in all, agreat experience. Not every dish is going to be a home run, but I was happy with the overall quality, service, and the varietyof dishes I could have in the meal. Read more
So it?s bbq but it really is missing a lot of true flavor and bbq passion. The girl behind the counter was very nice and gave me... some of the background behind the restaurant. They don?t actually bbq on site due to the neighbors objection to smokers and theybring it in daily from Bayview. I will point out that although the interior is small, the service is awesome and they do haveseating inside. When it comes to the food it really didn?t have my flavor. They relied more on the sauce which was good but itdidn?t really compare to traditional Texas style bbq. I?m probably going to go back for the ribs but as for the pulled pork, Iwouldn?t go out of my way to get there. Read more
Decent food, good prices. Doesn't exactly live up to its name. You're not going to find a guy named Bubba back there smoking... ribs. This is American BBQ made by Asians (they have things like ma po tofu on the menu alongside brisket and ribs). Read more
Great food for fair prices, pleasant service, seating indoors and outdoors. I decided to get dinner here and was greeted when I... walked in. It was around closing time on a cold day, so there weren't other customers. There were lots of choices on the menu. The fried rice and chow mein were sold out, so I asked the woman behind the counter what she recommended and she told me aboutthe garlic noodles which could come with beef brisket, salmon, or pulled pork, which is what I got. The total was $15.21 aftertax. Garlic noodles with salmon wasn't on the menu, but she said they have it. I decided to dine in and looked around. It wastoo cold to sit at one of the two tables outside and the cushioned seats around a table at the window didn't seem right for me.I walked over to the stools in a hallway to the out-of-order restroom and sat facing a wall of business cards and historicalphotos, some black and white. After about five minutes, the lady placed down a paper box full of noodles topped with a sizeableportion of pulled pork and warned it was hot. The pork was tender and tasted pretty good by itself, but the sauce really broughtit to life. The garlic noodles were very garlicky and cooked just right so they still had some chewiness. Everything was justthe right temperature for me. While enjoying my food, I noticed a few people pick up food that they presumably ordered onlineand someone calling to order, so this seems to be mainly a take-out place. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. This isn't a placewhere a gruff man with a beard will serve you a giant portion of food slathered in barbeque sauce, but they have great pulledpork and probably other really good food. I recommend visiting this restaurant if you needed some hot food on a cold day like Idid. Read more
