This place has history and rightfully so. I haven?t been to their original location but this new one has been around the last 7... years or so. I recalled it opening late but pandemic changed everything I guess. Anyway, we needed a quick bite so here we are.We ordered their milk tea (hot) cuz it?s cold, the three shredded meat chow mein, house chow fun, and salt & pepper chicken. Mygirlfriend really enjoyed the chow mein so that?s a plus. However, it came with a lot of bean sprouts. They should?ve filled itwith more noodles instead. The chow fun wasn?t prepped the way I personally prefer it, but we all have different taste buds andall. The chicken could?ve been a little crispier and more flavorful. Half of it felt like hot meat while I was eatingthem. Pricing is reasonable. Service is fast. Food was hot. Just what we needed on a cold chilly day! Do keep in mind that thefood is kinda greasy which may upset some stomach ????????. Read more

Awesome!! Tasty food, big portions, good prices (most mains under $15), amazing staff (lady who served us was fab!!). Place... isn?t the biggest, so you might have to wait for your table. Well recommended though :) (kung pao shrimp was the business!!) Read more

Truly a hidden gem. A perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. The flavors were clean, simple and just plain awesome.... Kudos to you... Read more

Cozy little Chinese restaurant in the heart of SF China town. Good food and beer. Restaurant is pretty small but has two floors.... The House Chow Fun is a favorite, we really enjoyed the Kung Pao chicken and Wonton soup as well. Read more

100 years + old and going strong. All seating was full and we got lucky to get in. Really good Americanized Chinese Food. ... @jillrn_17 got Chicken with Green beans, I had Kung Pao Shrimp and we got some Chinese donuts ( like softer unsugared churros ),really crispy spring rolls and their BBQ roll a slimy noodle roll with slices and BBQ Pork. Jill was put off by consistency ,to me it was a sushi roll but weird. It was their ?this is what we are famous for ? appetizer. Enjoyed the meal. Read more

Solid Chinese takeout place that happens to be one of the oldest restaurants in all of California. Ordered house chow mein and... mapo tofu with pork after the lunch rush on a weekday, there was no wait and food promptly came out within 5 minutes. Flavorhits all the right spots, no fancy gimmicks just a good ol' takeout that you can binge on. Oh and did I mention HUGE portions?Had to separate the food into three meals. Recommended, looking forward to trying other items soon. Read more

Solid choice for inexpensive and tasty chinese staples. The duck with noodles came with a tasty sauce. The beef wonton soup was... good? it contained beef wonton, beef tendon, a little brisket, and noodles. Most meals around just $9.50. It?s very nice to getto go and eat in Portsmouth Square next door. The girl at the register was patient and friendly. Read more

Couldn't be more pleased. The noodles were ahhhhmazing. Takeout only and a smallish place, but don't let that deter you! We took... across the street to the park and watched lion dance me practice, along with lots of locals playing cards. I can't stress enoughthat the food was so good and worth it! The price was reasonable too! Read more
