I almost deducted a star due to extremely small portions allocation for a large gathering we had. However it would be unair... because everything was delicious and authentic. Eating at Russian Renaissance Restaurant with our family on December 23rd. There was two birthday celebrations going on with a... live singer and dancing late in the evening. Mostly in Russian of course. They graciously sat the four of us at 2 of the 3remaining tables. And we enjoyed the food. But they were out of piroshki...Oh well. Read more

They have all the main Central Asian dishes: Manti, Shashlyk, Samsa, Lagman. The Lagman was a bit too mild and for some reason... they didn't have the quintessential Plov available the evening we went. Other than that the taste was spot on and theyallow(encourage) BYOB for vodka bottles. Service could be a bit more attentive but I admit it is heaps better than the majorityof the restaurants in "the old country". Read more

I hosted an event for 60 people there this weekend and it has been an absolute pleasure - my guests had a blast. The food was... delicious and over-flowing (Russian-style). Mark (owner) has been a pleasure to work with - incredibly professional and reliable(this is after another restaurant, Stroganoff, bailed on my event 5 days prior to it - avoid it at all costs)! Irina, who is therestaurant manager, is the life of the party - makes sure everything runs smoothly but also entertains the crowd. The musicquality is one downside - I wished for a much better quality sound system, but hey, this is not a club. Overall, a fantasticexperience & highly recommend. Read more
