First time here at this Indian restaurant. I enjoyed my 5 dishes and they were all great. How can we paid so much for these... great dishes but the $8 Naan taste like eating a staled pita bread. Reason also I gave 2 stars for Rooh SF is the person wholooked up our reservation and took us to our table has no proper manner. He appeared to be looking down on us for what everreason. The dinner was almost $100 per person. We deserve more than staled Naan and servers. Read more
Phenomenal food and cocktails. Some of the best modern Indian food I have ever had. The dahi puri was incredible. Butter chicken... was also fantastic. Service was top notch. I appreciate that they have outdoor dining. Don’t skip dessert - their ice creamsand sorbets are amazing. Read more
Went out for dinner yesterday evening to Rooh and had a great time there. It's a trendy Indian restaurant with a modern ambiance... and located on Brannan Street. What makes the place distinct is the way the food is prepared and presented. The service teamare helpful and quick - we would like to say a special thanks to Puja our hostess who made sure we had a good meal. The best Indian meal I’ve experienced in San Francisco. A huge step above the ordinary with a particular San Francisco flair... for the creative. Incredible faux lamb and delicious vegan dishes across the board. All suffused with a depth of flavor andspice I’ve been starved of in Paris. Magnifique! (So, why not the fifth star? The food was great. The menu is very well crafted and each dish is intentional about showcasing certain Indian flavors. The... tandoori artichoke, beef shortribs with madras curry, and dahi puri all had some unique Indian flavors. The service was goodbut the restaurant was extremely busy on a Wednesday night and it was clear that the staff were trying their best to accommodateeveryone. I’d have preferred to come at a less busy time, though I’m not sure when that is (maybe lunch). Read more
