Reviews for Reem's California Mission in San Francisco, CA
It's August 2022 and these guys are still discriminating against vaxxed and unvaxxed. Only vaxxed were able to dine in. No... other restaurant in San Francisco and the surrounding areas have asked me once about my vax status. I overlooked this and stillgave them a chance. I ordered a Falafel, meat pie and a cheese pie. The falafel was ok, nothing special, had much better. Thedough was off for the manaeesh, more like a thin crust pizza, they barely put 3akawye cheese and the meat pie was toospicy...over powering. Read more
Happened to be the first people through the door on the day they released their brunch menu. Wow, amazing. Every single thing... was delicious. Fried halloumi was very spicy and very tasty. Shakshuka was the best I've had. Will definitely be back. Read more
So good I want to cry. Manage to offer both authentic Mana'eesh and brilliantly incorporate local fresh ingredients for a Cali... twist if you're feeling adventurous. Been a big fan since they had a pop-up in local farmers' markets. Read more
Serious comfort food. Lahm Bi Ajeen, La Gringa 3.0(is the best) and namboura for dessert. All very delicious, friendly staff and... plenty of outdoor seatings. Read more
I don't know if I missed something but the food and the service were ok, and it's kind of confusing (if it is your first time at... this place) how the mechanic of being seated and ordering your food work, I had to ask several times to know what to do (Ilooked for signs/instructions everywhere and you can only find the menu and the instructions to takeout orders). For lunch, yesterday I had: - Akkawi (flatbread with cheese and I added avo) - La Gringa sandwich (slow-cooked lamb, Oaxaca cheese, onions, herbs, and dipping broth) - Shakshuka (2 eggs poached in tomato red pepper sauce, herbs, and fresh-baked pita) I am not sure ifI will come back or try something else on its menu in a different location. Honestly like the flavors a lot. But the portions are tiny.... Ordered the fatteh, flatbread, and the custard dessert. The... dessert was the best thing here!!!! Also don't order those coffees... Taste funky and we didn't finish Read more
As an Arab, I hate to leave bad reviews on Arab owned places, but the food was below average ( I can make at home better than... that) , low in quantity for the price, and worst of all , I ended up with food poisoning. I knew it when I first received myhummus with meat on top, that the meat didn't look right, and it didn't taste right either. 5 hours later I find my selfvomiting. I also found something really hard in the food that I can't identify and didn't expect to be there. See pictures, Icouldn't even finish the food and threw it away. Read more
I loved Rheem's!! I'm glad I got to try them when I went back sf. Their Flatbread and dips are delicious (habibi's harvest... flatbread pictured with the squash and pomegranate was so good!!) and their sweets are so good too. This is a perfect place forcozy catch-ups for big or small groups. The food was super affordable (especially for sf!) And I liked that they are communityfocused as well. Highly recommend. Read more
