I went here for dinner with my partner and we both loved the artful and intimately lit atmosphere. The staff were also kind.... Unfortunately I was surprised by the brittleness of the pasta and pretty bland veal-pork-rabbit pasta filling. My partner’ssea bass pasta was also extremely salty even for me and I never shy away from sodium. I hope that the pasta improves becauseit’s such a lovely venue! Read more

I can’t share enough great things about Poesia Cafe. They kept much of the same layout and features from when it was Reveille.... The pastry and food selection was limited, but they said it’s just because their new and it would be improved. While I wasthere they even bought out more items they were baking. They have a good selection of coffee and espresso drinks. And they hadcold brew!! The cookie I had was amazing! Pistachio and candied orange. I also had a ham and cheese croissant. The service wasgreat! Lots of eye candy! Very attentive and genuine. It makes me love Poesia all over again. I can’t wait to go back! Read more

I've been there many times. Stuff is very friendly and welcoming. Food is traditional Italian with some American influence, good... selection of wines and there always someone to help with the selection. Good for celebrations and family gathering, hiddenoutside area is everything. Sometimes they have live music which brings the atmosphere to another level they are also having acoffee shop and they are getting ready to open their pastry department that I am excited for. Will come back here at any time. Read more

Outstanding traditional Italian with a modern twist. Great wine list and friendly staff. We had the Vitello tonnatto, the... spaghetti allá chitarra with vongole and botarga and the agnolotti del plin. All delicious. The Canolo was also great withextra pistachios. ???? Read more

We were excited to try this Italian restaurant in Castro which was recommended by an acquaintance. We made a reservation over... the phone and when we got there, they escorted us straight to a table. Service: However, 30-40 minutes passed and they stilldidn't show up to get our first order. Servers passed by from time to time, but no one spoke to us. We had to get up, godirectly to the server, and tell him that we were ready to order. As we waited a long time and got hungry, we asked for morebread. But the server said there was no more bread available..at Italian restaurant?.. it was a bizarre experience. Besides, noone apologized for the delayed service until the end. Food: The Negroni drink was pretty good, salad was fresh and tasty, butthe entrées were somewhat mediocre. We ordered beef-pork ragu pasta and halibut dish. The amount of sauce for the pasta was notsufficient and the flavor was rather bland. I enjoyed the chickpea puree served with grilled halibut, but the fish itself was abit dry and the sliced ??tomatoes didn't seem very fresh. I didn't think it was $37 worth of dish. Though the interiordecoration of the restaurant was nice. Read more
