Cool hole in the wall place in the middle of Portero Hill super close to my place! Good: - Super nice staff - Unique ambiance -... very NOLA - and I've been to NOLA so this is authentic stuff - The jambalaya was amazing, and the chicken combo I can say thesame - the flavors were off the charts and the portion sizes were hugeee. Bad: - It was a bit cold to be outside and theheaters weren't working - Food is a bit slow to come out Overall it was a solid experience and I'd go again! Read more
A fun, family run restaurant. There is a lot of care put into the food and service. The owner was very interested in making sure... we had a great meal. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our food choices. We had jambalaya and gumbo. They were bothamazing. The grits were very creamy and tasted like pure butter. Favorite brunch spot around! I religiously get brunch every Sunday and after trying most of the other brunch spots in the area,... I decided to become a regular here. In my opinion Poboys Kitchen offers the best combination of flavor, price and portion sizesand you almost never have to wait to get a seat. The owner Metin is a super personable guy who is apparently also the manager,server, marketer and webmaster for the restaurant. If you consider yourself a person who loves brunch and support local/smallbusinesses, Poboys Kitchen is a must visit. Read more
