Excellent food. Attentive service. Comfortable atmosphere. This is truly a wonderful spot. We chose to sit at the bar to watch... the magic in the kitchen happen. The kitchen staff were all very friendly and willing to share the secrets of their craft. Thefixed menu was all fresh seafood and produce that were creative and elegant. We did the wine pairing and all the pairings, withthe exception of the Italian red served with the trout, were perfect complements to the food (the red was fine by itself, itjust didn't match the trout very well). I'd definitely return in another season to sample their menu again. Read more

Perfection. Best dining experience I've ever had. We booked seating at the counter but found the heat from the cooking... apparatuses was high and we switched with a couple at the window who wanted the counter. Worked out for everyone. Take yourtime and savor every detail of flavour. All foods sustainably harvested. Waste is minimized. This restaurant is well thoughtout and operated seamlessly. Service from staff is like a choreographed performance. You gotta treat yourself like this atleast once in your life. Indulge! Read more

Disclaimer: I am an amateur fine dining fan at best, and this was my first true fine dining experience in SF. But as a rookie to... the gastronomy scene, this movie was absolutely exceptional. The atmosphere is so serene, the service is fantastic (featuringdetailed verbal descriptions before every new course), and the food is outstanding. I had the 7-course dinner, and although eachportion was quite small, after all seven courses I was quite full. The wine menu is also remarkable. You really feel like you'redining in Brittany! Went for their holiday special dinner set that's seafood based. They had us sit by the wall on the counter-top table facing the... kitchen. Its nice but every time they tried to hand us the plates it forced us to move a bit. So with a 7 course dinner setthat's a lots of moving to make way for them to loud our dishes on the table. Regarding there dishes, maybe its just the way howFrench dishes are and everyone have their own opinions but the dishes are a bit heavy on the sour side. For a nice restaurantlike this you would assume maybe the still-water they serve will a dash of lemon to being out the freshness but there isn't.Just regular water. Over all this a nice clean and unique experiences ad I don't normally eat French cuisine. Read more

Came here for a special birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Although a couple of dishes were not quite up to par (namely... the good-but-not-great leeks and the thermally confused squash soup with mustard ice cream), they clearly take very creativerisks in an effort to deliver the very best version that each combination of ingredients can offer. Two dishes that really stoodout were the delectable squid ink boudin and the outright incredible and incomparable trout. Just ridiculously good. Service wasoutstanding, which you should expect from a Crenn restaurant. Highly recommend! Read more

We love the more casual ambience of this restaurant. There were some great dishes (our favorite was the duck egg) and I... especially appreciate the abundance of vegetables. If you are a meat eater, go somewhere else :) minus one star because some ofthe veggies (broccolini, radish with leaves) were super tough and fibrous that they were un-chewable. I get the farm-to-tablething, but perhaps a simple squeeze of the veggies will reveal whether they should indeed be served to humans Read more

Unlike her flagship restaurant Atelier Crenn, Petit Crenn is focused on homestyle rustic cooking which mirrors the food chef... Crenn grew up eating. Not fancy but the food here is absolutely delicious. The dishes here are simple in nature but areexecuted perfectly. The most surprising was the sourdough bread. Based on appearance it doesn?t look like anything special butafter taking a bite into the bread I was completely blown away. Crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle I loved this breadso much. The peas also were a real standout. The quality of the ingredients really stand out and the mint was a nice complimentto the crispness of the peas. The grilled fish was also delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you like simple foodwhere the ingredients really shine on their own then you will love it. Read more
