Reviews for Nopalito in San Francisco, CA
Came here with a group of 8 and we got a nice seat! Good: Awesome food - I had a quesadilla with tomato sauce in it and a lot... of different ingredients - the cheese was super good too. All of it tasted fresh and wasn't dry as some other places haveit. All the appetizers were quite good too - I liked the chips and guac and the chilli nachos too. I tried the tequila flighttoo and enjoyed the drinks. Ambiance is good for a big group - their long table sits everyone comfortably and you can stilltalk to each other. Bad: Kind of cold outside if you sit outside. Overall had a good time with a big group and it's cool howwe got seating here without making an advanced reservation! Read more
If you are looking for unique and flavorful Mexican food that is not the usual Americanized fare, then Nobility is the... restaurant for you. After a day at the Academy of Sciences, family members who'd eaten at Nopalito and were fans took us there.Having no reservations we waited a bit but not too long, then were seated in the covered and partially enclosed outdoor area. The heat pots kept us warm even on a foggy night. All the wait staff were attentive and helpful. The menu is varied. Tacos areserved as one single very large taco grilled and filled with various cheeses, spices, vegetables and meats. Plenty of vegetarianoptions and all ingredients are diced finely and fresh. The margaritas were delicious and my side of Mexican rice containedsmall bits of carrot which was a tasty switch from the usual. The place was completely full on a busy summer Saturday night andeven dogs were allowed. I highly recommend Nopalito, my husband and I will be back! Read more
Such a vibe , love the forest green setting with all the live plans. Its perfect for brunch, its good place for sharing as... portions are fair in size. I was sold on their totopos con chile, they are not spicy and so flavorful, Their beef empanadas soldme , so good!! Their ensalada del mercado is super simple but its so good, their quesadilla de primavera is on the healthierside . I would have liked a little more variety in their brunch menu! Read more
This was some of the best Mexican food I?ve had. I went alone so I only got a side of chips and guac but I finished them so... fast. The strawberry horchata was so tasty too. They sat me right away and the food came out very quickly (the have you orderfrom a QR code). I would 100% go back the next time I am in San Francisco. Read more
Very good Mexican food with both indoor and outdoor seating in a pleasant neighborhood. Everything is up to the standard of a... touchless post-pandemic world era, with QR codes, ordering and mobile payment. The portions are quite generous, and the staffsare very attentive with friendly neighborhood style services. Read more
- came here from all of the good reviews and the place didn?t disappoint! great upscale mexican restaurant - the margaritas... we?re strong and tasty - the ceviche tostada was so flavorful and perfectly acidic/sour. great combo of textures with theveggies - mole chicken was great as well. the portion was massive - carnitas was juicy and flavorful. the pork pulled apart soeasily and had the right amount of fat. - also recommend the tortillas! had to get extra to go - you order and pay through theQR code but the waiters were still helpful and friendly, this was the ideal process Read more
The strawberry margaritas incredible! We went to dinner and had a blast sitting out on the patio. Patio is nicely heated and... recommend for a fun evening out. Read more
This is going on my public list of the Bay Area's Best Mexican Cantinas. This restaurant has it all, great food, amazing vibe,... parking easy to find, superb cocktails, and extremely fast service with ultra friendly staff. The dishes here are really upscaleMexican offerings and are worth the visit. We drove from San Jose to San Francisco just to visit this restaurant after severalrecommendations and we were not disappointed. The margaritas we ordered here were authentic and not filled with a bunch ofsugar. The guacamole and chips were amazing. I can't say enough about the food here. Each dish is beautifully presented (almostto the point I didn't want to ruin it by eating it!). I loved everything I tried here. My favorite was the Empanada which hadslow cooked beef and was accentuated by greens and farmers cheese. This restaurant is one of the more upscale Mexicanrestaurants in the area. Although the food and drink are high quality, we felt welcomed and the vibe still felt casual overall(I.e. I didn't need to dress up to go here!). I would recommend bringing a sweater if you come here on a cold day. You mighthave to sit in the semi covered seating area which can get cold at times. There is also a takeout window which is great ifyou're just coming here for the food. Read more
