Such a great spot, we popped in for brunch on a rainy day and the vibes were super cozy and casual. Brunch in the city is always... so intense and expensive, so it was nice to find a spot that felt chill without comprising on quality. The plates were reallyunique and so delicious, the staff was really kind, and the prices are great! We'll definitely be back! Read more

Fantastic Thai/Vietnamese/Asian food in a clean, modern spot with really great service! The spicy crispy sole and pumpkin curry... were both excellent, and I appreciated that they let me sub in veggies instead of rice. We'll definitely be back to scope outthe rest of their extensive menu. Read more

An absolute gem of a restaurant! I was visiting a friend in San Francisco, and the only time that worked out for us to meet was... around brunch...which I have to admit is not my favorite meal of the day nor my expertise. Thank goodness we stumbled upon Mr.East Kitchen! This delightful Asian fusion restaurant has a beautiful array of breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes, as well as adelightful selection of drinks (and more traditional dishes if you come here during non-brunch hours). I tried out their Mr.East Salad, which is a delicious fillet of grilled salmon, diced avocado, sliced shallots, blueberries, and strawberries on topof a bed of kale and spinach. The salmon was perfectly crispy and delightful, and the natural fattiness of the salmon was agreat contrast against the fresh greens, subtly sweet fruit, peppery cut of the raw shallots, and slightly sweet and sourblueberry vinaigrette. It admittedly felt a bit strange to be eating a whole fillet of salmon at 9 AM but it was delicious and, hey, that's what brunch is for. My friend tried out one of their other exciting fusion menu items -- their thai tea frenchtoast. The thai tea sauce was the iconic vibrant orange color, and her plate looked absolutely gorgeous with the beautifulslices of texas toast and fresh fruit. She also tried out their Vietnamese dalgona coffee, which was AMAZING. Whether you'relooking for a sweet or savory brunch option, Mr. East Kitchen will definitely have you covered! Beyond their food, the overallatmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely delightful. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive, and the entirerestaurant is clean and modern. The storefront is entirely glass, so there's an abundance of natural lighting, accented by theircute blue walls and lovely decor. I'm honestly so sad that I was only in San Francisco long enough to try this place once -- Ican't wait for the day when I can visit again and try out the other incredible items on their menu. First and foremost, I love how clean this place is considering the neighborhood, but I have yet to be disappointed by my food, I... really love this place and gonna feel a small emptiness when I leave to my next assignment, with that being said this place hasamazing fried chicken. The fried rice is so fire here. I did the fried chicken sando last time I was there, I must say, I?lltake this one over world famous hot Boyz! That?s the truth. If you are in the area i highly recommend this place! Get anythingfried chicken! Read more

Fun and Instagram friendly place to grab brunch with friends. Our favorite was the pumpkin curry, which was flavorful and... hearty. The french toast was very pretty but not good, we could taste the baking soda. Staff are fast but a bit busy. Overallvery fresh and colorful food, would recommend. Read more

A tasty contemporary Vietnamese-themed eatery. Thoroughly enjoyed the garlic noodles with steak and Tom yum noodle with shrimp.... I'd get the chicken pho next time as the veggie pho lacked the distinguishable taste the other two dishes provided even with theaddition of sauces. But it was still a nice and pleasant pho. Would come back to this place again. Read more

What a jewel. With so many options in San Francisco we wanted a special breakfast place. This fit the bill perfectly. Service... was attentive, food delicious and reasonably priced. Pictured are the Saigon Steak, Morning Crispy Chicken Salad and the TomYum omelette. We also had the Mr East Salad. Everyone was sharing and trying each other?s dishes. Such wonderful flavors. Willdefinitely be back. Read more
