Very unique flavours! Other reviewers have mentioned this as well: expect to wait, there will be quite the line! Good thing is... they serve you quick and limit your time to 1 hour, so the line moves quite smoothly. Got the spicy lamb ramen and it was fullof lamb flavour. The broth was super creamy but not overwhelmingly rich or oily. Definitely worth the wait to try somedistinctive ramen. Read more

Best ramen in SF, but be prepared for a 1-2 hour wait outside! My friends and I (group of 3) were craving Mensho on a Friday... night and joined the already quite long line around 6:30 pm. We ended up waiting for around 1.5 hours before entering. Save forthe long line, the restaurant looks very much like a hole-in the wall with a small space fitting only 4 hightop tables, each canonly seat 4ish persons at a time. We were feeling adventurous and ordered A5 Wagyu Nigiri, Spicy Enoki Chips, Matcha ToriPaitan, G.K.O (Garlic Knockout) ramen, and Blaze ramen (Spicy Tori Paitan with sichuanese peppercorn). The Wagyu Nigiri melts inthe mouth, and the spicy enoki chips don't disappoint with it's crunchy umaminess. Ramen wise, my favorite has to be the MatchaTori Paitan with its seamless infusion if matcha with original smooth and creaminess of Tori Paitan soup, the umami of enokistrips, and perfect chewiness of ramen noodles. My friends had GKO and Blaze ramen and had a good time too. Will worth the waitand will definitely come back again! Read more

Probably best ramen I?ve had in a long time. The queue is absolutely worth it. But it?ll take you 40-50min to get a table, and... you have to queue outside. So bring a drink and your best spirits :) the broth was so flavoursome and the noodles wereabsolutely incredible? It?s my goto ramen place in SF. Read more

Waiting can be 30-90 minutes depends on what time you get there. Foods are generally nice although they aren?t authentic... japanese ramen. They are fusion style and have several options to choose from. Liked how they serve japanese beer that I haven?tseen before. Read more

Really good experience eating here, soup was really creamy and rich. The selection of ramen is a bit different, would not say... it entirely traditional, but a new take on it. The sides were unique and added depth to the ramen experience. Service uponordering was really quick. Some down sides is that the wait time can be very long, up to 90 mins pending on the group size. It'snot a large place, which can feel claustrophobic for some. Price is a tad on the high end for ramen, but well worth it. Adefinite try for ramen geeks and newbies looking for a yummy meal. One of my favorite Ramen chains. As a devourer of garlic, I found the Garlic Knock Out to be actually enough garlic for me. Corn... wings were a nice side dish. Limited seating, so get there early on weekends. Read more

Mensho Tokyo on Geary is always a favorite! Even with the looong line I still would give it 5 stars! Suggest to come earlier... around opening to about 6:30 pm so the wait won?t take as long. Their broth is always flavorful and just the right thickness. The fresh ramen noodles are chewy and carries added broth as you slurp on them. Read more

Walk-in only with no take out or reservations. We arrived at 5:30 and waited for less than 10 min for a table for 2. Ordering... and payment is all vis QR code and phone. The food was delivered quickly and at a perfect temperature. Delicious and creamybroths with a rotating selection of ramen. One of our fav ramen spots in the Bay Area. Read more
