Love the vibrant colors and corner location of this hip Cuban spot in the heart of the Valencia corridor. We had a lovely lunch... sitting in the window seat bar counter. The ensalada with pollo was delicious and refreshing. I love the croquetas too withtheir bright green dipping sauce. The iced cafe con leche was too sweet for me and the ropa vieja bowl my friend ordered lookedyummy and very filling with black beans and rice. Overall a fun experience and would def go back! These Ham & Cheese Croquetas we're $10.75. $10.75! And were the size of quarters. Not even a dollar each. Unbelievable. Spent... $60+ on two people on average food (2 sandwiches/non alcoholic beverages and these joke croquetas). Do not recommend. This wasdine in and we had to pick up these sad wrapped sandwiches. A plate or tray would be the minimum. On top of that, service wasterrible and they were annoyed that we tried to move to another table bc this industrial dirty one looked like you'd pick up anillness from it. The person taking order (no waiter) was so apathetic and acted as if we were a bother. They also put the highertip amounts on area of touchscreen where it's usually lower so you end up tipping more than you intend to for poor service. Read more
Ordered online through the Toast app (very easy), and it was all ready and packed beautifully when I arrived at the declared... pickup time. Better than that-- the food is gorgeous - in both taste and appearance. I ordered the Pobrecita (squash, blackbeans, rice and slaw) and two sides (avocado and chicken). Tried a little bit of everything. Hubby and I were satisfied all around. Great outdoor seating area, the Media Noche sandwich... (which is the Cuban on Brioche) was absolutely amazing. The Celia was also wonderful. We tried both types of empanadas they toowere delicious. Friendly service, quick eats with lots of flavor. will definitely be back sometime soon. Read more
