Not only is the lasagna incredible but the service is even better. Upon having my first bite I realized how melty and tasty all... the cheeses were combined with the bolognese. I will definitely be coming back to try their other lasagna varieties, pastas, andpaninis. They also have biscotti?s which the owner so graciously gave to me for free to try. The one with the white chocolate isdelicious and decadent as well as the chocolate one, but this one does have distinctive traditional anise/licorice rootflavoring. Read more

Great spot for homey, authentic, delicious italian food. I?ve been searching for a good traditional spot in SF and finally tried... this neighborhood spot ? and boy was it worth it. Their lasagna was so flavorful and meaty, and their carbonara was the stuff ofdreams. Loved the extra pepper to cut through the richness of the cream. Make sure you stop by for lunch because they aren?topen for dinner, sadly!! Read more

My son said Marcella's had the best lasagna he'd ever tasted and I have to agree with him. Superb! Fantastic service, too. No... indoor seating, only outside. Make sure to plan your visit well because they're only open at lunchtime Tuesday through Saturday. Read more

3 lasagnas for 3 people is kind of a lot. So maybe just get 1 or 2 lasagnas and try out some of the other me u options. That's... what I'll do at least - especially if I'm gonna go climbing just down the street at Dogpatch Boulders. This neighborhood isreally nice: there's parking around, very walkable and dog friendly, etc. The server here is a super amiable Italian guy whotries his hardest to make sure you have a good time. Enjoy! Read more

Great taste, below average portions, good price, good service, would come again. Dined in here with friends during lunch, place... seemed busy. Had some of the lasagna and the pasta to share. All the pasta tasted good, full of flavour and good texture. Breadand salad was ordinary. Read more

I have wanted to come try this lasagna for awhile so I was happy to not have a wait on a Wednesday afternoon. The lasagna comes... with some homemade bread and a light salad. The lasagna itself has a nice crispy layer on the bottom and amazing layers ofcheese and sauce. There?s not really much meat and the lasagna is a little bit one note though a tasty note. I would want alittle bit of other flavor, maybe some spice. All in all, super solid lasagna but is it worth $20 for a square? I don?t know?up to you to decide! Read more

I had the absolute pleasure of going to Marcella's for the first time not to long ago and yesterday's visit sealed the deal that... I will never cheat on Marcella's lasagneria ever again with another Italian Food place. Not only is the food absolutelyaddictive but so is the overall experience and vibe. Gianfranco (owner) immediately greeted us even though there was a huge rushand constantly made my partner and I feel like family throughout our whole meal. I will say, if you are coming to Marcella's,get ready to eat, and definitely don't limit yourself to just getting a salad. This place will change your mind on what flavorsyou like so try something new!! I have never enjoyed a Mushroom in my life until now! It is a small taste of Italy and I am sohappy I was recommended Marcella's. So here is your recommendation to go get lunch and eat some of the freshest and most mouthwatering pasta in San Francisco!!! Read more

Best lasagna I've ever had in my life. The owner is friendly and humorous too. The lasagna is ~$20, it comes with a salad and... homemade bread with their own special basaltic vinegar sauce. The price is very reasonable and food is amazing! Read more
