What a surprise, it?s one of those places that you stumble upon and fall in love with all the food. The fried rice, tofu, and... pork were all so flavorful that we finished every single bite! More food stuff @vin.foodjournal Read more

Overpriced and overrated. Typical mediocre SF restaurant. If you want REAL dim-sum, go to the Sunset District, Burlingame, or... even Emeryville to HK Ocean restaurant. Tell me why the total came up to $90 for two people? (Before tip) The plates were sotiny. We ordered the pork shumai, shanghai dumplings, golden lava buns, steamed spare ribs, shrimp dumplings, and lotus leafwith two beers at $10.00 each. Small plates start at $6.50 and the portions were tiny. I'd rate the food a 4/10 compared toother dimsum restaurants in the Bay Area and a 2/10 compared to dimsum restaurants in Hong Kong. They didn't have dimsum cartsfor weekend brunch, which is another miss. One positive note is that the interior of this restaurant was clean. Rare for an aChinese restaurant but the food is seriously overpriced. This is a tourist/techie trap. Read more

Sooo wanted to love this place! First we have to say the service is 5 stars- exceptional!!! Unfortunately, the food was just... alright. We came for the spicy, but left bland. Would not return, but clearly the locals love it, so maybe it's us. Read more

This was one of my favorite meals when we visited San Francisco. We got there right when it opened, everything we had was... delicious. The fried tofu was amazing with a little spice to it and the tofu was soft and silky and the soup (Shanghai)dumplings were delicious. Pork Chow Mein was great, the noodles were amazing. The Chongqing chicken was spicy and delicious. Weate everything. Read more

Some of the food is ~meh~ and some of it is good, especially their spicy dishes. The prices are outrageously expensive though.... It's near unaffordable so unless you're rich, (if you're living in this neighborhood in San Francisco then there's a 90% chanceyou're making a 6 figure salary at a tech company. So if that's you, ignore this) I would avoid this place completley for theprice alone not to mention the fact that the portions are quite small. I would possibly go back to try some more of their spicydishes for lunch or maybe I would go for dinner again if I were having a mental breakdown and felt like spending over $100 on adinner for two would make me feel better. Seriously though, if you're in San Francisco and want Chinese food then just go toChinatown. Lots of amazing restaurants there that have better food at much better prices. I would only go here if you livenearby and don't want to make the short journey on Muni to Chinatown. Basically you're paying for the convenience of Chinesefood in Eureka Valley/The Castro. If you're curious I would recommend possibly going once for lunch and then never again. Orjust don't. Read more

I like spicy food and eat spicy food well. When I lived in Chicago, I enjoyed trying various szechuan dish at a few well-known... restaurants in Chinatown. At this place, we ordered very spicy for the fish dish and beef dish. The first bite was good. Therewas also a slight refreshing lemon taste to it. The more I eat, however, I realized that very spicy level of szechuan dish wasnot my cup of tea. Numbing made it hard to taste the food properly. There was also a slight soapy-like aftertaste. I couldn'tfinish the meal. We ordered a couple of dishes to go. Their shrimp & chive dumpling with vinegary dipping sauce was pretty good.Their hot and sour soup was also really good. The dumplings and soup were delicious like made from scratch. Read more

Great Dim Sum and Chinese food with Belgian beer My wife and I had heard about the restaurant from a local SF friend. There was... a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. The dim sum was very fresh and tasty. We had the vegetarian pot stickers (my wife is avegetarian). However, I ended eating half of what we ordered. They had a lot of flavor. I didn?t care that there was no meat. Wealso had an order of the spicy fried tofu. Very spicy and very good. The staff was very busy running around table to table, only two staff working the front. But they were very attentive and we never had to wait long for requests for additional food orbeer. And as I said, they have Belgian beer on tap. Good robust flavored beer to match the flavor-able spices in the food. It?sa great restaurant for us as they have a good selection of vegetarian dishes for my wife and great dim sum for me. Read more
