The food was really delicious, which I appreciated since there is no other option for food if you are in the museum! The only... downside is, it's expensive. Really expensive. I highly recommend dessert! Read more

Food is ridiculously bad. This cafe ranks one of the worst I?ve visited. $30 for the saddest, coldest Sandwich you can imagine,... worse than gas station food. You don?t just feel like you?re being robbed with these prices, but also punched in the face duringthe process. Staff was nice though. Read more

Such a lovely place to eat! Especially on a beautiful day. Food selection is fine. However, prices are not just overboard, but... exorbitant; in some cases, the food doesn't come close to the pricing. The markup on everything is ridiculous: a tiny yogurt (99cents size) is $4.75 plus tax. The Reuben sandwich for $22 was really disappointing: small, dry, and not really a Reubensandwich at all, missing essential ingredients; the sandwich (on a small bagel) came with a tiny handful of potato chips. Twosandwiches and two Arnold Palmer teas came to $52.00 before taxes and tip. Sadly, museums and museum cafes do not offer anaffordable experience for most working-class families with children. Bring your own lunch and picnic outside! Read more

The outside terrace of this cafe instantly transports you to Europe. On a sunny day, the shade from the trees and the statues... gives you a relaxing and sophisticated feeling unlike anywhere else in the city. Also, it is very spacious and often notcrowded. We got a cappuccino and an apple tarte. Both were delicious! Tip: The first weekend of every month is free for Bank ofAmerica card holders. Read more

Surprisingly good for a museum cafe - both the short, inevitably healthy menu as well as the cheery service

The Legion of Honor Cafe has food prepared by MaCall?s Catering. They offer lunch sandwiches, entrees and afternoon snacks such... as dessert tarts & cookies. If you are inclined they have wine too. The chocolate cookie I bought for my afternoon snack wascrisp outside; chewy inside. Tasty. With this being the only food purveyor, you don?t have another onsite option. The service isexcellent! I?m familiar with one woman who I?ve seen all the time I visit. A regular staff member is a treasure. Glad the cafeis open again. Limited hours & capacity until the City opens restrictions. Stop by & enjoy some lunch, wine or tea amidst thegreenery & sculpture which you can see outside. Alternatively enjoy outside on the terrace. Read more

I really enjoyed my simple meal of fried chicken, corn on the cob and a small mescalin salad. Lots of chicken in a superb crispy... crumb coating. My companions had the Vege Burger and the Lentil/coucous salad and they enjoyed theirs too. No Cell phonecoverage at all unless you pop out into the courtyard. it's a nice place to eat, if a little pricey Read more

Food is ok. It is museum food so it?s overpriced. The place is beautiful though small. We came to the special exhibition of... Casanova. The general collection is decent though small in the number of pieces and periods of art covered. Parking was notdifficult because we arrived early in the morning and it is free. Our tickets also included the De Young museum and we willvisit it after this one. You can take about four hours to visit this one and take some time to eat a snack. Read more
