Went here on a Friday night and it was quite busy but we got a place to sit right away. We recently moved to the Bay area and... had been looking for a good Thai place (similar to Thai Villa in NYC). This place definitely stood up to the standards. Weordered the Lao Rice, Red Curry with chicken, hot thaidy (Christmas special drink) and mai tai. The food was perfect balance ofspicy and flavorful.! It was exactly what we were looking for! I believe it is a BYOB as well. We would definitely visit againand try other items on their menu! Read more

The ambiance is very fun - pink & purple light, and staff will ring the bells to celebrate one’s birthday. The food is not bad... at all but I wasn’t impressed. Pretty good experience! Read more

Lao Table is always my go-to for Asian fusion when eating downtown with coworkers. It's super close to Montgomery BART and... always has tables available if you make a reservation. Prior to the pandemic, they used to have some nice lunch specialsincluding elaborate family style meals for larger groups, but their menu has changed (and portions are smaller now). Thisrestaurant has a lot of dishes which are similar to Thai or Burmese food: papaya salad, drunken noodles, fried rice, curries, etc. Be aware of the spice level! For the papaya salad, we went with medium and "lao style" - we didn't realize how spicy thiswould be, it pretty much blew my taste buds out for the rest of the meal! The seafood stir fry was tasty and the shrimp werecooked to perfection. Thank goodness I had the fresh coconut water. Read more

Ordered the happy hour platter and it was alright. The platter includes sausages, chicken wings, oysters, and calamari. Their... thai iced tea comes with a paper straw that isn’t very durable so expect your straw to be unusable about halfway through yourdrink unless you drink it very quickly. The restaurant is easy to find and there’s ample seating inside. The host greeted andseated us quickly. The server seemed very nonchalant and spoke without eye contact or enthusiasm. We were checked on throughoutthe meal. The washrooms are clean and accessible. Decor is nice and well thought out. The music is odd because you’ll hearbachata music, then kpop, slow jams, and then a random genre. Read more

Good food and good service. They have a pretty good happy hour menu from 5-7 pm. Everything is priced reasonably. They tend to... be busy so you might want to call ahead and make a reservation first. Read more
