Walking down the street, we see a menu for Indian food on the wall. We were on vacation and didn't know the area so we thought... why not give this place a try. We step to the side to find the entrance and we can't find it only to realize we actually werestaring at the entrance the whole time. The Irish pub and the Indian restaurant... are one? Okay, we go in and see a bar in ourright eyes and a large dining space in our left eyes. The dining space had a large tablet so we thought why not order takeout. We sit down and the bar has a lot going on. Dark wood everywhere, dim lighting, pool table. This is unlike any Indian restaurantI've ever seen before. I had never seen no Indian staff at an Indian restaurant before. But perhaps these Irish folk know athing or two about curry. Food takes forever to arrive but it eventually does after what felt like half an hour but wasprobably more like twenty minutes. After taking the food back to our room, it was pretty good. I was pleasantly surprised withit. Not the best, but better than Trader Joe's freezer Indian meals (which I think are tasty so that's saying something). However, it was only good hot. When it cooled down the flavors weren't as pronounced as they once were. Additionally, asreheated leftovers the curry was missing what made it great. One of the most bizarre restaurants I've ever been to. If you'reinterested in hanging out at a bar and Indian food at the same time, you'll probably really enjoy this spot. If you are onlyinterested in the bar, I don't know what to tell you because I didn't hang out there. If you're only interested in the Indianfood, just get something almost as good but half the price from Trader Joe's or take a flight to New York since I didn't try anyother Indian places in San Fransisco. Only in SF can such a place exist. 3 large barrooms, a good selection of craft beers on tap, and excellent, reasonably priced... Indian cuisine. Our waiter, Peter, guided us through how much to order, spice levels, etc. Peter was friendly and engaging andtold us they had never had a fist fight there, to his knowledge. I love lamb but don't usually order it at Indian restaurantsbecause it's usually very little and poor quality meat. The Rogan Josh here was perfect. Altogether a wonderful SF experience. Read more

We ordered Pakora, it was not properly fried…we literally squeezed them with paper napkins! We were there from last 15-20... minutes but nobody even asked for water. When we asked for water to the white guy who is working in the front, he came with oneglass of water only; then again we asked, please bring water from everyone…he made so bad rude face!!! Also we ordereddifferent curries, it was nice tasty curries! We really like it Madras chicken…very tasty! But roti was so hard and Paneertikka kebab was bland! Read more

This is one different Indian restaurant.. the ambience is totally different from a typical Indian restaurant setup but the food... they serve is good Indian food. The big plus of this restaurant is its location and having its own parking. The food the beerthe pool table and the courteous server all are added plus to this restaurant.. one big minus is its restroom, it’s nasty atit best. Read more
