The Jackson Fillmore Trattoria is a terrific neighborhood restaurant with fine food and excellent service. It does get on the... noisy side, but the food and other general ambience was worth it. Read more

Outstanding Italian food in a casual environment makes this a local favorite. Often packed so call ahead or make a reservation.... Best value I can think of for really good fine Italian menu of mixed northern and southern dishes. Good wine list too. Go aloneand eat at the counter or go with friends and hang with the locals. This place was amazing! The spaghetti carbonara was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The ravioli was good but not the star... of the show tonight. They even give out little bruschetta pieces while you wait for your meal, which is a great appetizer.Although this place is small but packs a punch and if you're in town this place is worth visiting. Absolutely obsessed with this neighborhood spot. Every time we go (probably 1x/month), we agree that we really should be coming... here weekly! Huge fans of the Artichoke appetizer and the Gnocchi (which has a hint of truffle) and the Chicken Noci maincourses. The prices (including the wine) are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the food is great. You can easily keep itunder $40-50 per person if you’re not ordering drinks, but we usually have a bottle of wine so it ends up running slightlymore. Highly recommend for any occasion! Read more

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. I've tried multiple dishes here and so far they have all been fantastic.... I don't think you can go wrong with any dish here. Their chocolate mousse is out of this world, definitely try it! Read more

Another local San Francisco Italian restaurant, worth the walk if you are staying close by there! They have a very different... "Artichoke stuffed with prochetto ..." appitizer too. Read more

Nice food in a small, noisy restaurant. Meatballs with polenta were good, but very heavy. Salad was very fresh and crisp and... calamari was light. Main courses were a bit less successful: seafood with penne was underwhelming, pasta with veal and sausagewas smokey. Zabaglione was a big disappointment. Friendly service but very rushed - our entrees came 5 minutes after theappetizers. With so many incredible Italian restaurants in San Francisco, I'm surprised this one is so popular. Read more

I dined here tonight on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm so glad I did! I'm in town on business but I wish I lived... locally so this could be my go-to place. I sincerely don't understand the bad reviews, the food was tasty and the service wasimpeccable. I would like to call out Walter, who brought me the perfect wine pairings and helped me with my entree selection, and Sylvia who made sure I was taken care of from start to finish, including hand delivering my expresso. And Christian who keptchecking on me to make sure I had what I needed and he brought the humor. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in town! Ihad the carpaccio zucchini as a starter, the salmon Toscana and the unique house made dessert. Read more
