I ordered the falafel pita and bodega bowl (hummus bowl) to share. The food is fresh and delicious, and came quick. Friends... ordered the sabich and said it was fantastic. Dessert was tasty as well. The service is impeccable and the owner is very kindand generous. Absolutely recommend coming here for lunch or dinner, whether you keep kosher or not. Read more

TL;DR: Great food and splendid service make visiting Hummus Bodega an easy decision. After scanning the menu, I ordered 5pcs of... falafel and Israeli chopped salad; my total was about $11. The prices for the sides are in a comfortable range (everything elseis kinda pricey) and there are lots of seats. If you're dining in, you can sit anywhere you want and your food will be broughtto you, but it looks like you're supposed to bring the tray back yourself. When the order was brought to me, it included twopieces of additional falafel on the house, because I "was a nice customer." The fried falafel pieces were in a little fryingbasket and the salad was in a little pot-looking bowl. There were also two bottles, one filled with tahini and one with lemonand olive oil dressing, and everything came in a tray lined with parchment paper. Utensils and napkins were already on thetables. The falafel was amazing—in fact, the best falafel I've ever had so far. The outside is perfectly browned and crisp, but the inside is super tender and almost melts in your mouth. The salad was refreshing. The succulent, cubed vegetablesharmonized well together. Overall, I highly recommend this fast-casual restaurant, especially if you like Mediterranean food. The prices are high, but if you just order sides, you can get a good, filling meal without spending much. Some of the best french fries I've had in a long time. The falafel (pita) and forest (bowl) were both tasty but the cauliflower... (bowl) was the winner of the evening. The pita was soft and tender and next time we will get an extra or two. The staff wasfriendly and helpful and the outside eating area was pleasant. Read more

This restaurant was bit out of way but I'm so glad we made it here. This is easily the best falafel that I've had in a... restaurant. It was moist and full of flavour. Eggplant was also cooked really good. I felt their humus was bit bland but overallit was still better than most places. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Read more

Great quality and super fresh. Points significantly deducted because of the ridiculous price and fairly long time from order... being placed to getting to table (15 mins for a single pita). $20 for a chicken pita is a bit rich, even by today’s sf $14avocado toast/ gen z standards. But hey it comes with a Dixie cup of free pickles and a couple sauce bottles. Place is alsoowned by a proud Jewish family. Love these mom and pop businesses who show off their heritage. It’s awesome they’ve gotfliers/posters for Jewish festivals/ cultural events scattered around inside. Pretty sure I was listening to Tel Aviv technomusic too (infected mushroom?).Wish these members of the tribe had the prices a bit more realistic because even tho it wastasty… def didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth… and I rarely buy food in consideration of a price point…. Butdoubt I’ll come back because of it. Read more

No doubt, best hummus in SF. Creamy hummus, perfectly mixed. Fresh salad, falafel full of herbs, locally baked pitas, and... friendly service. As soon as we finished lunch we wanted to be hungry again... dinner maybe?! Don't miss this hummus place. Read more
