This place was outstanding ???? it was so so so good!! We ordered the Famous Nanking Sesame Chicken, Honey Chicken Apple, Crispy... Egg Pillows, Fried Pork Confit Eggs Rolls and House Fried Rice. I have never heard of egg pillows but what a wonderful surprise!It was so good! I couldn't get enough. All of the food was so amazing. My favorite was the honey chicken Apple ????. I am inlove! We went in the last minute on a Wednesday, there were many people still, we knew this is a must go place in SF but we were not... sure if they were still ope. We walked in and glad they were open! We ordered the crispy egg pillow, fang’s steamed buns,sesame chicken and sizzling fried rice, for 2 people. The crispy egg pillows were awesome, not too sweet, super crispy outsideand warm and veggie inside. Steamed buns were good too, they were kinda saucy but delicious, if you are not into saucy food,this might not for you. Sesame chicken was good, with sweet potato with it which is new to me, that also adds up thesweetness. Sizzling fried rice was awesome! It’s delicious, fresh egg, and the sounds was satisfying!! I really was looking forward to this place and did not live the expectations. It was not good honestly. I would've have save my... money and appetite for another place. Everything we had was so salty we had the mapo tofu and sweet potatoes chicken and nonewere good at all. We had the chili oil pork dumplings and were amazing along with the garlic green beans. The food was the best Chinese we’ve ever had… the service was not rude, but they were slow. Doesn’t impact my review... though because the food was that great. Worth the wait in line. We sat outside (heaters) and I think that was the best spot tobe. Read more
Finally came here after living in the Bay Area for 6 years. I came here with coworkers on a Thursday for lunch time and it was... already bustling with people. We were pretty lucky to get a table outside for 4 and they have heaters for the cold! The sesamechicken was good but the portion was so small! Crackling beef was great. House noodle was great. And the eggplant was alsoyummy. Overall all the food was decently good and tasty. Some portions of dishes were better than others. The service pacingwas a little slow but I can understand the labor shortages. Overall worth a stop! Read more
Yummy ! We originally went because we loved the name! Then after trying to food we knew we chose the right place for... lunch. They don’t substitute or remove anything and if they are out of something they are out! But what we did have was mostdelicious! They are known for the a sweet potato chicken dish! The sauce was amazing! Their other chicken dish was great, butpretty oily. Their potstickers in peanut sauce was the best part of the meal! Nice and crispy with a great amount of meat andsauce! I would grab these again. My friend got their blooming flower tea and said it was one of the best they havehad. There is nothing we ate here that tasted less than fantastic. The service was fast and friendly. I have not had a better... sizzling rice soup even though it didn't look like the traditional sizzling rice soup. Their onion cake and tofu dishes werevery tasty. Read more
Very happy with the food we got here. We were a party of 4 and split a lot of different dishes between us. The sesame chicken... and sweet potato, the honey shrimp, and the beef in mustard sauce were all great. The food came out quickly too. Read more
