Food is very good. Polite smiling staff. Will return again. Would be 5 except I was seated before a gentleman in a suit was... right next to me and the waiter took his order first and brought him his food first. Read more

Spicy spicy spicy! Reminiscent of my father's favorite Hunan food. The portions are large but the tab is also quite pricy-... almost $20 per person for a very casual lunch place. I might not come back due to the price point but the food was delicious. The ambience of this place is very fast casual. An interesting note for this place is that the menu is completely inEnglish. One thing I do not recommend is the scallion pancake from here. To tastebuds who aren't familiar with the dish- itshould have more scallions and Chinese 5 spice. Instead this version was a pan fried flat dough with four brown-lookingonions. However in a positive note, the default level of spicy was good, even for someone like me who considers themselves tohave a pretty good spice tolerance, I got a huge kick in the throat. I am curious to see what "very spicy" is like but not sureI want to dish out another $20. Read more

Today A coworker went out to pick some up for lunch to bring after a meeting for the team. I had seen a lot of great reviews and... pictures of really good looking stuff so I was looking forward to lunch. Wow was I disappointed! This had to be about THE WORSTChinese food I?ve ever had! (Even worse than Chinese food I?ve had in rural North Carolina.) About 6 different items wereordered and I was hoping one of them could be edible. A bite or two of each of them and it was enough for me to not bother withthe soup that had a layer of grease floating on top. The orange chicken had thick, soggy and gummy batter soaked in a sticky yetflavorless sweet sauce that if not for the thin few shavings of orange rind I?d not have know it was orange chicken! The friedrice was pale, dry and bland with bits of chewy bits of some kind of meat with fat. The chow main was over cooked with lots oflimp over cooked veggies and small rubbery shrimp. The green beans were limp, flavorless and greasy. EVERYTHING generally wasSUPER GREASY. I ended up covering my plate with a napkin and throwing it away although I was really hungry. (Luckily I had anapple on my desk.) It wasn?t worth an upset stomach or heartburn (especially at work!) I?m still puzzled how it?s even possiblefor everything to be so greasy and salty yet be totally flavorless. I?m just hoping that this is a fluke and the rainy weatherhad something to do with the it today. Otherwise, I think I?ll avoid it and go elsewhere with my own money or just bring my ownlunch next meeting. Read more

Huge portions for low prices. Only bad part used to be the service, but now there are new owners who are rlly good. This place... now deserves a 4.4 at least. Happy to see the happy staff members. Read more

Incredible Hunan-style Chinese food with a hot spicy touch. I love the dumplings, onion cake, shredded beef and garlic pork, and... just about anything with noodles. This is hearty food, and a big contrast to the dim-sum Hong Kong style Cantonese food thatmany Americans are used to getting in San Francisco. My go-to Chinese place when I visit SF. Read more

I order to go for my lunch today. I was helping a friend upstairs in the same building.. the gentleman that took my order was... warm and friendly. I ordered combination fried rice and garlic chicken he asked me if I would like it hot and spicy the garlicchicken. Only way I like it. I've traveled abroad and I have to say I'm very impressed with the quality of the food at Henry'sHunan rest. Big thumbs up!! You got my vote 4.5 stars Read more

So far my favorite Asian restaurant in SF. Their meat pies are great! The best Hot and Sour soup I've ever had and I don't... even like Hot and Sour soup normally. Their dishes are great, they have many locations outside of this location and I've beento two. Their service is friendly and fast and without a doubt any lover of Asian cuisine will be pleased with their dinnerhere. Their tea is warm and yummy and the food very satisfying! Read more
