Tempest is one of my favorite places in SOMA. It?s a great place for drinks and a bite at any time of day. There are a ton of... draft beers, specialized bottles and plenty of booze for cocktails or a stiff glass of whiskey. The Industry Special (High Life& Shot of Fernet) is a good start to any weekend. As for the food, the menu changes and I?ve always ordered the Nachos andCuban Croquettes, both great options to start. I think their Box Burger is amazing. The bacon gastrique on the burger makesit. Parking always sucks around Natoma but it?s worth it anyway. Just take an Uber/Lyft or cab. Read more

It's a good standard bar. I'd say the mixed drinks are not a reason you should come here. Worst margarita I've ever had. But as... far as a more dive bar feeling atmosphere, but without actual riffraff, this is the place. Food from next door is legit Read more

Pretty fun bar, there's a pool table but it gets a bit crowded on weekends. Their fries and burgers are amazing! Drink options... are pretty good and the staff are usually pretty friendly, although it took over an hour for us to get fries on a busy night forone visit. The music is very loud which some people like but I found it hard to talk with friends. Read more

Me and my friend had come here on a Thursday night around 11.00 pm. All bars in the area were crowded because of the Saint... Patrick's celebration and this was the only place that offered food so late. We were not required to wear masks or show anyvaccination proof. Just needed IDs to enter. The place was pretty crowded. There was also a pool table here. The bar was fullyoccupied, but we managed to find a table for 2. The bartender was a bit busy in the start but when she was taking our order, shedid not rush us and even gave samples for the beers that we wanted to have. We ordered the fried pickles and french fries. Thefrench fries were way better than the pickles. They tasted even better with the spicy mayo sauce. I had the Dry me a river withJack Daniels which was very decent. The Mango beer here was way better with a tangy taste which I really liked. The beer wasdecently priced for San Francisco standards. A really good place in downtown for late night drinks, food and playing pool withfriends. I would have given 5 stars if the table was cleaner. The table felt sticky from a drink that was spilt on it earlier. Read more

Update March 2022: Decided to come here again. The service is really friendly and efficient and they've got some good... beers/ciders on tap. The food was slightly better this time, likely because we ate there instead of taking it to go. Their minicorn dogs and mac and cheese egg rolls are pretty good. I was surprised to get only 4 mini corn dogs for $10 - that seemedpretty overpriced to me. Original: Meh - this used to be a coveted spot of mine, but it seems to have gone downhill. Got thischicken sandwich the other day, and the one leaf of lettuce was left to wilt and become disgusting. The soggy bun only hadsesame seeds on one side? The chicken was also soggy and gross. Plus, not their fault and aside from the rating - thisneighborhood is atrocious. I've lived here for a year and it's been a nightmare. Just walking the 2 blocks to come here scaresme. Probably just take your money somewhere else and have a better time. Read more
