So sad we didn’t get to try the Peking duck! The tea smoked duck was still amazing though. The other dishes were also... delicious but I wouldn’t get the soup dumplings here. We had enough for another meal at home Read more

This place did not disappoint! Fresh, tasty and delicious! We ordered the Pecking Duck (they also gave us the decision to get... the back of the duck fried or placed in a soup, we decided fried), steamed pork dumplings, and the seasonal vegetable! Wow! All of it was sooo good! This was an memorable experience! Read more

The best and most authentic Chinese food I've ever had! This place even beats 90% of Chinese restaurants in downtown... Manhattan. Note: advance order of Beijing duck needed otherwise you need to wait for 1hr+. Reservation highly recommended.Service is extremely friendly. I traveled from Manhattan and found out this place after visiting a couple of restaurants in theBay area. I had to say this is by far the best one. This place has authentic Chinese food from Szechuan and Beijing. Weordered: Beijing roast duck: very good. The skin is still attached to the meat, giving a well balance between fat and leanprotein. The duck isn't too fatty though, which is a little off from authentic Beijing duck. Still it's nearlyperfect. ***** Fish head with pancakes: very good. The broth is sweet and sour and the pancakes are crispy and fresh. You canonly order half of the fish head. ***** Twice cooked pork: great. Fatty but not greasy and not too spicy. **** Mapo tofu:spicy and tasty. They added a generous amount of peppercorn so it gets your mouth numb (ma ?) but that's the key of authenticmapo tofu Meat pancake: ????. Made with pork. Very authentic. Like a huge pan fried dumpling. ***** Glutinous cake with redbean paste: ???. Very very authentic and fresh. As someone growing up in Beijing, I almost burst into tears after my first bite- it reminded me of home. This food is better consumed in store otherwise it will harden. ***** We enjoyed all the dishes andeach one of them are super delicious and flavourful. I will definitely revisit this place if I come back to SF. Read more

Seriously. Good. Chinese Food. The green beans were our absolute favorite. They were the perfect balance of crunchy and soft... with the ideal amount of seasoning. Needless to say we finished them first. The sweet and sour and fried rice was also great butthe green beans stole the show. Read more

The best food I've had in years. I haven't had roast duck like that outside of Beijing, freshly cut with just the right... proportion of tender juicy meat & crispy skin with cucumber and spring onions wrapped in warm thin rolls. And cumin lamb withonion literally transported me to Beijing, eating yangrouchuanr on the streets. Thank you for the experience! Read more

Best place to eat authentic Szechuan food in San Francisco. Our favorite plates are the string beans (very recommended... especially that it’s hard to cook string beans without making it saggy), explosive chicken, spicy wontons, garlic pork, andcouples delight. You can’t go wrong there! Gonna try the duck in the Chinese New Year! Read more

Came here on a Saturday night with a reservation and was seated right away! It was nice to have outlets here so we could charge... our phone next to our table. Good: Portion sizes are here and the food feels quite authentic Chinese. I liked the dry stringbeans and the pork roll with pancake - super tasty and a good amount of flavor. Bad: The tan tan noodle didn't have a lot offlavor even though there were a lot of noodles. The mushu pork dish also felt like it was a lot of food but the flavor was aboutaverage so I wouldn't get that same dish. Service is hard if you aren't fluent in Chinese - we accidentally had a sixth dishordered and had to cancel it before it went through due to some miscommunication in Chinese. Overall felt like it was astandard Chinese place - no dish made me want to go back for sure, but I also am not usually a fan of spicy food. Read more

The Food During my friend's visit, he wanted to get some Peking Duck. So we discovered Chili House & Peking Duck seemed to be a... good option. We ordered a few of their dishes to try - Chicken w/ Explosive Chili Pepper (?????) - Pork Roll with Chili Sauce -Frog Clay Pot - Peking Duck (????) We originally ordered three dishes, but my friend thought the chicken was bad and sour. Thestaff were nice enough to swap and recommend another dish, which was the Frog Clay Pot. The Pork Roll dish was a chilled dish,it was pretty good with the chili sauce. I quite enjoyed the new Frog Clay Pot dish. It came with lotus root and celery thatgoes well with the frog meat. The highlight of the show was the peking duck, which required reservation ahead of time. They hada chef carving out the duck in front of you. The remains of the duck we decided to make soup with it, which goes well with theduck. It was quite a bit of food for two people, but it was delicious. The Miscellaneous The restaurant is on one of the mainstreets, so prepare to look for street parking. They allow inside seating now, but they also have outdoor seating if you want. The inside is decent sized, with a good amount of seating for small and large parties, normal decors. We arrived a bit afterlunch hour, so we didn't have to wait for seating. The service and staff were standard, seated us and took our order timely. Wegot most of our food not too long after ordering, but would have to say the duck took quite a bit. The restaurant has quite anextensive menu, with lots of variety. It can be overwhelming if you don't have an idea what you want. But if you have a bigparty, you can try quite a bit. The prices are slightly expensive compared to other similar restaurants. But they do have manyselections and unique ones to suit people's taste. Probably come with friends to order different items to try. Read more
