Superb food! Attentive and prompt service. Comfortable seating and nice ambience. In most places impossible burger is... disappointing but not here. It has delicious sauces inside and the salad complemented the dish perfectly. The lemon ricottapancakes were also nice but I expected slightly fluffier texture. I also wish they had a few more vegetarian mains options. TheHaight Ash-berry was the perfect citrus boost drink. Overall great experience and highly recommended. Read more

The food was just okay and the service was slow and choppy. The clam chowder was pretty good. The fish was decent but the fried... stuff around it could be better. The staff was forgetful and it was hard to get attention even when the place wasn't especiallybusy. I would not recommend this place. Read more

End your trip to Fisherman’s Wharf by heading down to this restaurant and enjoying a delicious bread bowl filled to the brim... with amazing chowder! This place offers something for everyone as long as no one in your party is lactose intolerant orallergic to seafood. From some amazingly seasoned Old Bay fries, to crunchy popcorn shrimp, to some delicious cheesy shrimp Macand cheese, their menu is brief but the enjoyment of the food isn’t. A great place for date night, a family dinner, or a sadlonely man’s night out. Plus it’s close to a gift shop and the cable car so you can drown that loneliness in impulsiveshopping shortly after ???? Read more

Very friendly staff. They gave us plenty of time to chat, eat and just take in the ambiance after walking along the pier all... morning. There was no pressure and we didn't feel rushed with people waiting for a table. Very nice place to unwind. There aretwo fireplaces in the outdoors seating area that keeps you very warm in the San Francisco fog ???? Awesome place forgroups. This restaurant is connected to the Argonaut Hotel so if you are staying in Fisherman's Wharf, it's very convenient.Bathrooms are huge and very clean. Food is delicious and portion size is huge. The server recommended their award winning craband corn chowder in a bread bowl which we got. Big enough to share if you're not too hungry. Mac and cheese gets ???? Read more

One of my favorite restaurants to visit. Hands down the best crab and corn chowder! Beautiful outside patio. I thought they... had become a casualty of the pandemic but after visiting Ghirardelli saw they were open so I had to stop in. Ordered: ???? Craband corn chowder Read more

Recently visited and had the Corn & Pablano Chowder bread bowl, whilst partner had fish tacos. Both were excellent, with the... chowder being one of the best I've ever had. Everything was well priced, and staff were attentive without harassing. Nocomplaints, definitely worth visiting if you want to get away from the more touristy restaurants closer to Pier 39! The toiletswere also unexpectedly pleasant, as I believe they're shared with the main hotel. Read more

Recently, I visited Blue Mermaid Restaurant Chowder House and Bar located in Fisherman’s Wharf. Overall it was a good visit... and they made a good impression. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating. One cool thing about this location is that servebreakfast, lunch, dinner, and have a bar. Now, I must say, as a seafood fanatic from Maryland, my standards are high. Ithoroughly enjoyed the Clam Chowder and Crab / Corn bread bowl. This is definitely a good seafood spot. Next, I ordered theirMermaid Burger and Fries. Overall, it was a good burger. The only issue was that the applewood smoked bacon was undercooked. Iasked the waiter to return it and bring “crispy” bacon. By the time my bacon arrived, I was 2/3 through the burger. Thisaspect of the visit dampened my experience. I’m always shocked to see restaurants that don’t serve crispy bacon. If bacon islimp, that means it’s undercooked. I would revisit the restaurant, but, order something new. Read more
