It is very easy to miss this place as it is kind of situated in the back and you have to make your way through an alley to get... there. The staff was incredibly polite and professional and extremely accommodating to whatever needs you have. Food wasserved in a timely fashion and presentation and taste was great. This place is a hidden gem. Literally hidden because it's down a quaint walkway behind another restaurant. The food and service... is really good and eclectic. You can also order off the menu from the Persian restaurant out front. The prices are veryreasonable, especially for SF and the quality of food. They have an indoor space that's open with very high ceilings and a hugebar. They also have an outdoor patio with heaters. I imagine this would be a great space for a private party or small wedding. There?s no denying that the food here is delicious, but what truly stood out to me about American Bites was how amazing the... service was. I don?t often feel as incredibly welcomed as I did stepping foot into this restaurant. That five star servicecontinued throughout the meal and made it that much more enjoyable. They also have a great happy hour that includes one tacowith every drink you order. It was an unexpected deal and pairing but I love it and wish more spots would do it! I also highlyrecommend the bread with garlic dip and the linguine with clams. Fun fact: the restaurant hosts free dance lessons everyWednesday evening and then opens up the restaurant for dancing so that the participants can practice. We came on a Tuesday night for drinks and sat at the bar. It wasn?t crowded and was perfect place to chat with an old... friend. Moscow mules are pretty good and made with ginger beer love the taste ! Got few appetizers: Gacamole and home madechips (Guac is made fresh with guac chunks, onion and cilantro topped with lemon) ???? Monterey Bay fried calamari was justabout right not over cooked and soft. Very flavorful, definitely recommend that. Read more
Ali, who is also part owner, went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and also made our doggos feel welcomed. The food and... service was amazing. Decor and the environment was very warm and welcoming. I loved the outside patio, which is where we satwith our furry companions. So excited to have tried this restaurant in North Beach which used to be Bocce Cafe and is one of SF's designated landmarks! ... The location is tucked away so there's a cute alleyway you have to walk through before arriving to their front doors. Onceyou're inside, there's a huge bar space, cute patio and rooms for events/functions. Love that they have TVs so I can watchsports there as well! They serve just about everything you can crave from pizza, sandwiches, burgers and tacos to seafood,pasta and veal. I highly recommend their SF Cioppino if you're into seafood - you won't be disappointed! Another personal favwas the Beef Tongue Dip Sandwich. This is a new hidden gem located in North Beach! You need to enter a beautiful alleyway to enter the restaurant. You can't miss... the neon "OPEN" sign. The food and drinks were amazing, my favorite is their lamb lollipops! A MUST! Read more
This place is a awesome ! It?s a hidden gem, Although , you go through an allay to get to it. But once inside it has got great... interiors , the best cocktails , and amazing amazing food !.
