Vegetarian platter tasted good and was a lot of food. I especially like the cauliflower & eggplant. Will likely come here again.... Atmosphere is relatively casual, but with waiters for dine-in / table service. My partner got a meat dish, and was pretty happywith it, so this restaurant is a good option for groups with both meat-eaters and vegetarians. Read more

One of the best Mediterranean dishes I've ever had, including food made by my chef friend from Kuwait. I had the vegetarian... platter: falafel, baba ghanoush, hummus, cucumber and tomato salad, dolma, and roasted eggplant and cauliflower w/ warm pita. Soflavorful and delicious! The hummus was creamy with a rich tahini flavor, the baba ghanoush was perfectly smoky, and this wasdefinitely the best falafel I've tasted. Unlike the dry hockey pucks you may have tried elsewhere, Abu Salim's falafel wasperfectly crispy on the outside with a fluffy, seasoned interior. I loved dipping the falafel in the herb garlic tahini alsoprovided. Amazing quantities for the price, could be split between two people. My only critique is that I wish they servedalcohol but I also recognize that may be a religious guideline for this absolutely divine Mediterranean spot on Haight St. Iwill definitely be back! The food was absolutely phenomenal. My girlfriend and I split a onion stuffed falafel and chicken shawarma fries and it was the... perfect amount of food, with insane flavors! The falafel was the best I?ve ever had, it was the perfect amount of crispy as wellas having great flavor! The spices on the fries were incredible, I was absolutely blown away. I highly recommend this place,and stopping on in was the best decision I made while visiting Haight street! Read more
We dined inside with the door wide open and a good breeze. The food was delicious with authentic flavors. He had a chicken... shwarma wrap; I had stuffed falafel wrap, which included pine nuts and sumac. Shared some Arabic salad. Tasty and plentiful.Friendly staff, good service. Read more
