Reviews for Buenazo Fine Peruvian Cuisine in San Fernando, CA
I found this gem of a restaurant almost by chance when I visited another establishment close by, checked their website and... promised myself I would come to try it. I did today and I?m so glad I gave it a chance. First, the environment is great, it isnew, clean and modern. That?s very different from most of the Peruvian restaurants in Los Angeles (which are usually in oldstrip mall locations, most of the time in not so nice areas). But the most important fact is that the food tasted AMAZING. Wehad the Anticuchos and Papa a la Huancaina for appetizers. Both excellent, but the anticuchos deserve and extra special mention!(I recently reviewed the very good ones served at Chifa in Eagle Rock, but these were even better). The meat was very tender andthe aji anticuchero was exactly like the one you get in a good street vendor in Peru. Then, we had the Lomo Saltado and the Ajide Gallina. The lomo meat was cooked perfectly, the exact amount of sauce, and the flavor on point. Aji de Gallina is myfavorite Peruvian dish and this one did not disappoint at all (I have found that others I have tasted in LA were too diluted andweak, but this one was spicy but not overwhelming and the texture was perfect - the only thing it lacked was potatoes, but atthis point we had eaten so much already that it didn?t matter ????. The white rice was also quite flavorful. Even though we weresuper full we decided to get dessert and were gladly surprised by the lucuma ice cream (I wonder if it was made with realfruit?although it is more likely that it was canned lucuma paste- we thoroughly enjoyed it!). I greatly recommend thisrestaurant, it serves quality Peruvian food at a very reasonable prices. Read more

The best Peruvian Food I?ve had so far. Highly recommended!!!!!!
Food was incredible. So fresh and authentic. This was the best Peruvian food I?ve ever had.
Fell in love with Peruvian cuisine. We ordered a side of Platano Fritoand an appetizer of Anticucho de Corazon. That heart was... divine and amazing. I ordered the Arroz con Pollo and was pleasantly surprised at how big those pieces of chicken were. Theflavors worked so well together and there was so much food my son has to help me finish it. My son had the Lomo Saltado andloved every bite of it, he even ate the tomatoes. You don't know how rare that is. Overall I can't wait to come back. Read more
Quiet little spot we stumbled upon trying to find some place else. Staff was friendly and knowledge of menu. Although they... didn't have what I originally decided on...my alternative was delish! I enjoyed the Quinoa Salad. A little pricy but food waspleasant!! Read more
Food was decent but prices can be a bit high. There is definitely better Peruvian food in the valley with larger servings for... those prices. This place is kind of new school so I think thats why the portions are smaller for "aesthetics". We came on afriday evening. The service was lacking. We got there about 30 minutes before the dinner rush but even then our food came outone plate at a time over a period of almost an hour. The chef was hustling but definitely needed help, Miguel, our server wasgreat but needed to write our stuff down. He had to confirm 3 or 4 times. He also seemed like he was the one running around themost, taking orders and checking up on the entire restaurant once it got full around 7. There were two ladies working too butthey were busy as well. They definitely need more workers and to make things more streamlined and not all over the place. Iwouldn't mind going back since it is a good location and nice in there, but the service needs to level up. Read more
Really excellent food! The shortribs were out of this world! The fried chicken breast was the perfect combination of juicy and... crispy. I wish I could remember the names of the dishes. All of us plan to go back. Read more
