We had a great experience at Wolfies. The ambience was amazing the staff was friendly and offered great suggestions and the food... was superb. I highly recommend experiencing this establishment multiple times sitting in the different areas to experience allit has to offer. Five stars all the way. And keep a sharp eye out for all the hidden Easter eggs in the paintings. Read more
Great service. But my meat was way undercooked. I asked to cook it a little longer and it came back burnt. I asked for beignets... but got a baguette. My oysters all 6 of them where the size of a quarters. My wife hamburger was good . Yeah the decorations wasunique but the only thing that was good was the French fries and mayo. I spent 200$$ for my anniversary here just to go toMcDonald's and eat. Read more
Tonight we are visiting Wolfie?s Carousel Bar for a Restaurant Review, as recommended by Toni and Brad, two of our members. And... as usual, Bob K took beautiful pix in this dark restaurant. Let me first say: The owners have taken a tremendous leap intodetail and created amazing atmosphere. Take a look at pix of the bathrooms. You are in fact, on an indoor Carousel. And the bararea slightly turns, as it does at the Rainbow Room in NYC. We sat in this area just under a horse that goes up and down gently,the entire time you are there. It?s loud and busy, much like Herb and Sea was when we reviewed them. It?s a whole lottafun! And mon dieu! The food is magnifique! But I will give you just our top favorites. Ok. When we are talking about detail,have a look at the pictures. This is the cube in my drink. One big block of cube with a carousel stamped on it. That?s what I?mtalkin? about! Here comes the food: Susan's favorite thing is the oysters ?very fresh and clean?. Jeannette says ?the regularoysters are delicious even though they are tiny?. I enjoyed the oysters as well. Bob agrees and adds ?they also did a great jobwith the Beet Salad. Renee agrees too ?the beet salad was very earthy and complements the cheese?. It seems like the Oystersand Beet Salad are the big winners at our table tonight, so far as each person adds their comments. Letty says ?it is so good.Very refreshing?. I personally like the Beet and Warm Goat Cheese Salad because it was a little different from what restaurantsusually serve. Prettier, I would say. And I did love the Fromage du Jour (Cheese of the day) with unexpected dates, differentfrom what we usually see, served as well. We had a fun experience at Wolfie's, the carousel ambience and slow revolving bar is such a unique way to retain this historic... monument while bringing out the child in us. The oysters were fresh, mushroom croquettes were delicious and a great selection offine wines. Definitely a place for celebrations and good times! Read more
