Wanted to check this place out for happy hour. Unfortunately the last photo we could find had old hours and an old happy hour... menu. Currently, Aug 2022, the happy hour runs tell 5pm. The menu is also reduced from before. That being said we had two greatcocktails and great calamari. The views were great and the restaurant food looked great. Overall a bit expensive two cocktails, calamari, tip was around $55. Read more

Fast service from the bartender, nice view throughout facing the inner waters. Had a local craft called the Protector 'SD West... Coast' IPA that was a great choice. Ordered fried mushrooms, calamari fritto, spicy ahi tuna tacos, and pork chop. Mushrooms hada nice chewiness to them. Calamari fritto was very good too and the fish in the tuna tacos tasted fresh though not too spicy.Pork chop was very juicy and firm and was a favorite of one of the staff. Portion was good and would order again. Also later hada Ballast Point 'Sculpin' IPA which was a recommended signature choice of San Diego and I agree, went down smooth. Read more

Nice location overlooking the marina. The staff was very accommodating. When we go out to dinner we don't mind paying good money... for good food. However this Foods price point we were expecting something to be presented from an executive chef.. We orderedthe fish and chips and the fish was the size of fish sticks very small and they gave us two pieces along with a ton of fries.Maybe to make the dish look like it had a lot of food on it. Very disappointed. We also ordered the tacos they were okay. Theydefinitely don't have a qualified executive chef on staff. Read more

Truly fab service. Nice wine list. Bartender had great suggestions, and food was even more delicious than the descriptions. I... was very impressed. I definitely recommend. View is amazing too Read more

We ate at Vessel four times during our weekend stay at Kona Kai Resort. Each time we visited, our servers were friendly and... efficient, and we enjoyed the most mouth-watering brunch and dinner foods we have tasted in all of San Diego County. Therestaurant itself is very beautiful, and overlooks a marina, and the live entertainment added very much to the experience. Wehighly recommend this restaurant, and will be returning soon! The menu is limited. It definitely tastes like "hotel" food. The restaurant itself is beautiful with amazing views.

First of all, the place smelled sour, like old beer spilled on the floor. Very bad acoustics. We could hear the guy 3 tables... down talking. Secondly food was horrible. Starting with the calamari fritters….. NOT fresh made, look like defrosted fishfingers and taste equally bad. Watery, soggy and freezer-burned. I ordered a sautéed sea bass. As on the picture, it’s faraway from sautéed, fried maybe. It was dry and bland underneath the black cover. Service - blah at best. Read more

Was at the resort for a few days so I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The the French toast, Vessel burger, and 1/2 chicken... were decent. The sauce on the chicken was very salty (which I love) but the sides were non-existent. If there were potatoes orsomething could have been a great meal. The Sea Bass was excellent! It had the same sides I believe but it worked well with thelight fish. Good drink options, esp. if you like your drinks on the sweeter side. Read more
