Absolutely amazing place to eat for lunch or dinner! They have recently changed owners and I was worried their menu and service... might change; my family and I have gone here for years and I didn't want to lose a place I loved. But I feel like new directionthe restaurant is taking (small changes to the menu, napkins instead of paper towels, better hours) is going to be great for it!The day I went the owner was introducing himself to the customers, and I genuinely feel like he's there to make a familyfriendly environment with great pizza and great staff. First off I would like to say that I have been a patron of Venice Pizza House over 47 years. When I was a little I remember them... when they were on the other side of the alley and I used to watch them make the pizzas and would listen to the music on thejukebox. My family and I frequented 3-4 times per month, if not more. Over time my family has passed and it is just me and I nowbring my husband and daughter. My friend and I have also been meeting there for lunch over 25 years as well. Well today I wentfor lunch, it was fine, not what it has been in the past though. I have always loved their cheese pizza, torpedo sandwiches andlunch specials. I feel that the quality and taste has really started to decline unfortunately. Today, all of us having lunchwere treated so poorly and the level of disrespect was off the charts. Totally not necessary and it has happened once or twicein the past, but I had let it slide because of the 47+ year patronage. I value mom and pop/family businesses, these are hardtimes, but as a customer I am entitled to respect. On the fence right now about going back or if I should look for anotherfamily restaurant that can be more friendly and respectful of their customers. Absolutely delicious! Our party had two kinds of pizza which were loaded with toppings. I loved the spiciness of their sausage.... A friend thought his chicken Alfredo was perfect. In town for the weekend, thought I would order a pizza from a local business. Ordering online was a breeze and was looking... forward a simple cheese pizza pie. Delivery was efficient but when we opened the box the cheese had slid off almost the entirepizza! Crust was crunchy, sauce was tasty not over salted, cheese was delish. I went there today. They were due to open at 1200. Alejandra opened at 1159?. I wanted to sit by an outlet to charge my phone?.... I wanted to use the restroom?. Friendly and welcoming smile?. Clean facility?. I was greeted with a friendly smile she was veryaccomodating. The bathroom was clean and smelled clean. Upon walking in a facility I looked at the floor and it was immaculate.The tables were clean it smelled clean. Alejandra’s attitude was professional, warm and engaging. She checked on me at leastthree times. Her friendly demeanor and customer service was consistent from beginning to end. The food was delicious: Dinnertype-Chianti, spaghetti, parmesian egglant and water with lemon. She gave me exactly what I ordered timely. My overallexperience was worth spending because additionally, I kept my eyes busy looking at the pictures on their wall and the overallambience created. The space was adequate. There were private booths and open table with chairs on one side and a booth likechairs on the other. I like the overall flow and appearance. I will certainly visit again, should I find myself in the area inthe future. Also if you buy their shirt and each time you walk in wearing this shirt, you get a $3 discount! Dined in with my boyfriend for our first time and enjoyed a drink each, the fried artichoke (my favorite), calamari (a whole,... well-seasoned heap considering it was the "small"), Mediterranean pie (his favorite; struck a lovely balance of ingredients),and cannoli for dessert~ shockingly, my bf's very first! Everything was truly delicious and the experience exceeded ourexpectations. We were impressed by how generous the large sides of dipping sauces were. The interiors paid sweet homage to therestaurant's history, but were updated to feel clean & distinctive. Our server was attentive and direct. Fresh ingredients really good pizza. They put just the right amount of ingredients on their pizza and not too much cheese and I... love cheese but sometimes there is more cheese than anything else.
