We stopped by on a Taco Tuesday, & weren't disappointed. I only wish they have mini tacos on the menu.
Gave me the wrong order wish i could give zero stars!! Called them and stated what happened...they said they "couldnt" refund me... unless I drove back 25 minutes from my house to return the food or I could just accept credit in the future? What restaurantcan't refund someone over the phone when it was their mistake in the first place? I feel sorry for the person who got our foodin mistake because they just lost out on two additional items that they paid for...I don't eat meat and my friend order aspecial meal without onions because shes allergic... but everything they sent us with had meat and onions in it... i told themthis and they told me to wait for a manager to call me back after telling me i had to call their manager for a refund thenrefused to give me the number. They went ahead to tell another person who is waiting for food in the drive through about thesituation that I was complaining. Do better with your customer service after ive been going here for some time and its juststeady declined over the years. Do better and once again I feel bad for the person who lost out on their food. Great carne asada torta! Flavors are on point. The super nachos are great too. The qusedilla is good. Horchata is ok, could use... more cinnamon. Staff is kind and helpful too. Overall a great 24/7 restaurant! 5/5 stars! Read more

I ordered the fish tacos, since I have been told that a trip to San Diego is incomplete without them. The fish tacos at Vallarta... Express live up to the San Diego hype. They?re only $5, tasty, and large enough to fill up an average, non-bodybuilding adult.The chips are made in house and were good as well, and came with a variety of salsas to choose from. They have one of thosefancy Coke freestyle machines that allow you to add different flavor syrups to your drinks, which I appreciated. They?rebathrooms were very clean, especially after having to use the public restrooms at Pacific Beach all day. I only gave the store 4stars because of my experience ordering. The lady behind the counter definitely appeared to not want to be there and, while shewasn?t rude to me, definitely was eager to get my order finished. Honestly though, I?ve been there, having worked fast foodshifts into the night before, and I would give 4.5 stars if it was possible. Read more

82/100: Carne Asada Torta. It is served with fries. The soda is an additional. I told the lady on the drive thru that I was not... local (but from Florida), and what she could recommend me from their menu. Her response was: "There is the menu." Hahahah,thanks I can read. This place is a hidden gem for those late night needs, and always delicious! What sells me is that their vegetarian burrito is... actually vegetarian, meaning it has an assortment of vegetables rather than a simple greasy bean and cheese excuse. They reallyput effort into their food, it certainly shows, and the portions are everything you want and need after a long night out orwhenever you require something substantial. It's fast food without feeling as if you're consuming fast food, other than theamount, and it tastes just as great as leftovers. The only caveat is that due to it being open until forever and being so greatis that you can end up waiting 40 minutes in line even at 2AM, so be mindful! Read more
