I ordered the chicken tikka masala and the Gulab jamun and it was pretty good. Anytime, I eat Indian food here in the states I... try to remember that it will never match what I had when I was in India, but I felt like that chicken tikka masala was a littlebland and lacked flavor. There have been many firsts in my trip to San Diego, and dining at an Indian restaurant was among that list. Urban India... Restaurant did not disappoint. Nice little spot right in the heart of Gas lamp Quarter. I had the Masala Fries with chickenadded as an appetizer. Glad I had company, as the portions were quite large. For the main course, I had the Tikka Masala withshrimp served with mild spice. I was very pleased with the taste of the food, the service, and the pricing of the menu items.The whole experience was gratifying and I would definitely return for a visit and try another dish on the menu. I went for dinner, paneer Tikka masala and naan were decent but the rice was undercooked. Ordered spicy Tikka masala but wasn't... spicy at all. Excellent location, good vibes and a decent service. Prices are reasonable compared to other San Diego downtowneateries. Overall a decent and quite place. Read more
