During a business trip to SD, I met two ladies at the hotel bar. They highly recommended the blackened shrimp salad from the... Tommy Bahama restaurant at the (Fashion Valley) mall. The next evening I went, and was warmly greeted by a friendly servernamed Leo. He recommended a tasty cloud martini and an alternate vinaigrette dressing to go with my salad (instead of ranch). He was right - the salad was delish, bright and flavorful - it did not disappoint! Great food & great service. Well worth thetrip. Read more

Wow. We haven't had a dining experience this great in awhile. I expected basic overpriced bar food and drinks. I was so wrong.... Every drink we had was one of the best drinks I've ever had. The coconut shrimp and key lime pie were beyond delightful. And thestaff brings it all together for a five star experience. My husband commented "this is the best food and drinks I've ever had ina clothing store." So so good, I will be back often. Read more

Tommy Bahamas bar has been popping up everywhere and we are fortunate to have one here in San Diego. You can have retail therapy... and enjoy food and drinks! Located inside Fashion Valley Mall at the corner next door to Vince and across from Loft. There?s alarge u-shape bar seating in the front and tables in the back/side. Live music as well and of course the retail store. Happyhour is daily from 3-6pm at the bar. There?s also daily specials from M-Th for drink and food. I came on a Thursday so it was $6house Rita which is their lime version. Food was $6 any taco but the filet. You pay and order your first order at the bar. Thensit anywhere. From there, you can order more from your table. We came here for drinks. Got the Rita. It was nice ambiance withlive music. Aside from their daily specials, the pricing here is a bit steep but understandable because of the tourist area andthe name. Read more

Checked out the store and store employees were friendly and wonderful. Also, stopped by the Marlin Bar and grabbed a drink and... food this evening. The employees were so friendly and helpful. Its a hybrid service - you place your order at the counter andreceive full service restaurant service upon seating. The Mai Tai and Dark & Stormy drinks were strong but tasteful. Ahi TunaTacos were tasteful and yummy to start. For entrees, had the Crab Avocado Salad. I would knock a half a star here because thepresentation of the salad was a bit weird. It was a mound of lettuce with crab on top. The lettuce was shredded yellow (notgreen) and the dressing didn't fit the salad. We also ordered the Poke Avocado Bowl and loved it. Would definitely stop in uponmy return to Fashion Valley Mall and might skip the salad next time but otherwise the employees and rest of drinks and food werewonderful! Read more
