Must try the Chicken Momo's! They are spectacular. 4/5 stars for the sauce though, which could use a little more spice. I get it... though, you want to make it more accessible. The service is great and has family vibes. Overall a great place! Read more

It felt that it will be very expensive. It looks very fine dining. Workers no uniform or well dressed. i don't mind. I care... about the quality of the food. Soup was half way full. And dirty around the edge. (Spilled when pouring? ) For me means badcooks and no expo ? And server/cashier guy didn't care? The chicken curry was great flavor and taste. Chicken was old and verydry. But I was very hungry and I eat it. The basmati rice was cold and old maybe was microwave ? The naan was very good. Read more

One of the best Indian restaurants in the San Diego area! The food was incredibly flavorful. It was obvious that they're using... fresh ingredients and making everything from scratch. I was very impressed! I was also delighted that they had so many wonderfulvegan options. I would caution those who can't handle spice to request mild preparation. I asked for medium spice and nearlyregretted it. Borderline too spicy for me, but I still enjoyed my meal thoroughly! Wonderful service too... I believe the owneralso operates it. Read more

You are on vacation with your old buddies, eating different kind of food but at one point, you crave for your traditional taste.... We found this place on our road trip and we simply loved the food. Food was delecious so as the hospitality of staff/owner ( wecalled her didi). Momos were extra big. So far, this was best food during this trip. Will definitely visit again. Read more

Very tasty food, and you can't beat the lunch special. The curries are some of the best I've had. With the special you can... choose two entrees, and as a vegetarian I was very happily surprised that they have two choices that perfectly fit my culinarylifestyle. And the naan was truly about the best I've ever had. It is absolutely fresh and thin and lightly crispy. The serviceis great too! Read more

Finding parking during lunch can be tough here but you can always do street parking. You can order ahead of time even with a... group reservation. Lunch special is reasonably priced. Chicken masala with Saag Aloo is flavorful and good portion size. Thestaff is friendly too. Read more

It is interesting when I search the keyword Himalaya on yelp, it pops more than 10 restaurants within 10 miles. Not all of them... have the word, but most have. Why so many India /Nepal/Tibet restaurants around here? It took me more than 15 minutes to find aparking lot, almost every restaurant in the plaza has customers waiting outside. I used Hindi and Tibeten to greet the waiter, none of them get any respond. I assume he is a Nepalian, he barely speak English. We ordered the lunch special, and obviously, they served ours to the lay next table. The taste was really good though. Even I don't know whether it's our order. Most of themlook the same. Anyway, very good taste. Recommend if you can find a parking lot. Read more

I am so excited to have the Taste of the Himalayas in my own neighborhood! My roommate has brought home takeout from this... location before, and tonight I brought my visiting family there for dinner. The space is small as usual, the decor a little oddat this location. Thankfully it was not crowded at 6:30pm on a Thursday, so we were seated right away. We ordered four dishes, one side of momo, and two naan to share. All five of us were stuffed, and I have lunch packed for tomorrow. Staff was wonderful, attentive, and friendly. Happy I got to introduce my parents to some of my favourite fare so close to home!
