This was so so delicious! And lots of fun! Great staff, really great food, one hundred percent a great choice. Highly... recommend. You pick your broth, veggies, meat, rice, and noodle type. They bring it all to your personal hot plate where youcook it all to exactly how you want it. We all loved everything we got. They also have delicious green tea and delicious sakechoices. Tabu Shabu is not just a meal, it's a full experience. You will be stuffed and so satisfied when you leave. (Note: it'sa little messy. I don't recommend you wear white or long loose sleeves. We had an absolutely wonderful time at Tabu Shabu!! The format is individual pots, with the option to split proteins amongst the... groups, which worked perfectly for us. Everyone was able to choose their specific broth, rice, veggies and protein preferences -which made it easy. Select a larger protein portion for splitting family style! Perfect. I recommend the Sukiyaki broth, andleaving any leftovers to do the add on porridge. Excellent vibes, excellent food and above and beyond service. I have to give aspecial shout out to Megan - she was an exceptional host to our entire meal and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, as wellas providing on point recommendations. The manager or owner (assumed) was also very amazing - accommodating andfriendly! Oh?and make sure to try the Peaches and cream sake bombs!!! Yum Eat here 12/10 Read more

Literally a HOT POT. Definitely for people who like extremely hot soup. Burned the roof of my mouth and tongue so my taste was... immediately gone. The noodles and vegetables ended up over cooking in the boiling soup. The server was very nice, but very busythat it took a while to receive food and for her to check-in. I didn't know we could get more rice and sides for free till thevery end. You need to have some experience making soup to really enjoy the experience. Read more

Super good. We went for Saturday dinner and got there right before the place filled up around 530-6PM. You'll need to be hungry... because you're making a pot of flavor and then eating nonstop for like an hour. It's great. Don't wear white or anything thatyou don't want stained. Every seat is the splash zone. I have had Mongolian hot pot before. The ingredients here are higherquality. The two of us spent $150 with tip. Read more

You simply have NOT been to a better Shabu business than this. Luke and team make this seem like they?re doing it for free.... There exist no words to describe this incredibly high level of customer service and hospitality. Once you come here, you won?twant to get Shabu anywhere else. This is the best there is!!! Read more

Amazing experience for my wife and I. We were immediately greeted and seated without making a reservation, although we arrived... later in the night on a Saturday. Anyways, the servers were very informative and made sure you knew what you were doing andprovided great detail to have the best experience. Pricing was not bad at all, the meat and veggies were fresh and the placeitself was very clean. We ordered the large(you'll know when you get there) and it was perfect for a dinner and we haveleftovers for tomorrow. This was our first time at a hot pot and will definitely not be our last. Outstanding experience, food, and service. Keep up the amazing work; We will be back. To those thinking about trying this for the first time, don't think, just do it. You will not regret it. Highly recommend! Read more

Such an amazing Japanese hot pot experience in the heart of North Park on 30th street. Seating at the bar was very intimate and... the service and wait staff there was fun, quick and super knowledgeable! This was my first Japanese hot pot experience, butdefinitely will not be my last! Limited seating so get there early or be prepared to wait a little bit (we went on a Saturdayevening). If in North Park, San Diego you will not be disappointed in trying Tabu Shabu out! Also, no liquor there...just sakeand beet. Read more
