This is the place for that type of food that brings a smile to your face? and just looking at the menu raises your cholesterol... by 40 points. A traditional American diner, with a great atmosphere reminiscent of the diners of the 1960?s. Good, solid food, real ice cream milkshakes, excellent rock music in the background. All that?s missing are waitresses on roller skates. Definitely a place to come to for a relaxed lunch experience, and definitely a place to stop after a long day of riding yourHarley. Read more

I walked in at about 1:00 to grab lunch. Jackie, the server at the counter, invited me in to sit wherever I wanted. It was nice.... I sat at the counter and she quickly served right away. I wanted the San Diegan, a burger with half pound beef patty, bacon,Jack cheese, tomato, onions and avocado according to the menu. She quickly took my order and placed it after she confirmed thatI wanted it medium rare. She reminded me that she could include a small serving of coleslaw for free. I accepted. The food camein about 10 minutes. Amazingly quick service. As she packed my food up I asked her to include a few packets of mayonnaise andketchup for my fries. After I got to.my desk, I opened up my lunch and was disappointed. The fries were a very small serving, sosparse that it just covered a small portion of the bottom of the clamshell which it shared with a very large burger. The fries, however, are very tasty and certainly worth mentioning. It's a shame they weren't very many of them. The burger was cooked tomedium rare. However, the burger had no condiments whatsoever. There was no mayonnaise, no ketchup, no mustard, and this madethe bread quite dry. The burger was also missing the avocado mentioned in the description. I reached for the mayonnaise packetsI had asked for, but Jackie didn't put them in. I did find enough ketchup packets for my fries. After having to search theoffice for mayonnaise for my burger, I was able to eat it. It is a very large Burger. But it was delicious. If I had not beenable to locate mayonnaise for the burger it would have been too dry. Also, without them avocado it was a regular Baconcheeseburger. The coleslaw was amazing! It was so good. Definitely try the coleslaw. All in all, I only give this a two starsbecause the restaurant was not busy when I walked in. To have so many mistakes is difficult to understand. My bill came to $20after tax and tip. Read more

Good old American diner with behind the scene movie decor. It?s back open and serving breakfast to dinner now (check the... business hours). Service is usually good but it can be hit or miss. Menu prices have gone up but the quality of the food havegone down, not a very good sign. For $15~ burgers, they are middle of the pack good, not even above average. Fries come with thedish but they are usually not freshly fried so by the time you get them, they are hard and crusty. Today?s pastrami sandwichwas a disappointment. I think they cut down on the amount of pastrami and they weren?t very tasteful. You can get way betterones at your local fresh serving delis for half the price. If you are going to raise the price, you got to at least keep yourquality consistent, and shoot to improve on the quality & service. I don?t see that here. Maybe I?ll go and give them one moretry but I?m sort of hesitant ordering and feel disappointed again. 2.7/5 ?? Read more

Swanky Hollywood style diner but with that old school east coast feeling. Definitely a destination with great service and... awesome food! The Grip burger probably got it's name because it was t h i c k. I barely fit it in my mouth for thatfirst glorious bite. It was so good. Cooked to perfection with juices dripping into the plate. The burger was built with thetoppings on bottom and meat on top. My wife had the shrimp dinner with a chili sweet sauce and loved it. The view on the patiois also fabulous with these really cool life like gnomes. Read more
