I've lived across the street from this Vons for 11 years. The amount of time I've been to this Starbucks is higher than I can... even remember. I stopped going every morning to save money on buying decently overpriced coffee and no longer know all of theemployees. I came in today to buy a bag of Starbucks coffee from Vons that was already pre-ground and thought I'd get a drinktoo. I walk up to Starbucks and as I'm about to order I ask Picca if she can also ring me up for the Starbucks coffee I wasbuying...she rudely looks at me and says no in a snarky way... Clearly she's had many people come in and try to quickly havesomething rung up by her and she felt the need to release that frustration on a random guy who wasn't trying to take advantageof anyone. I was a bit confused because I had nothing else that I was buying other than Starbucks ground coffee, so I asked "Ican't pay for Starbucks coffee at Starbucks?"...again, rude no. Honestly life goes on, if this is the worst thing that happenstoday life is good... But if I buy a drink at Starbucks and buy Starbucks ground coffee from Vons...I have to wait in line atStarbucks, walk around and then wait in line again for Vons?...makes sense. Never going here again, except to wave to the GM onmy way to buy something from Vons...because the GM is awesome and super nice. Read more
Sad Vons Starbucks. Plenty of good coffee options a block or two away...
The staff here is amazing. All of them are friendly and remember my drink as I come 5+ times a week. (I hoped I spelled their... names correctly) Adriana and Phlavia you always make me feel better after visiting and Starbucks/Vons should feel very fortunateto have you on their staff. No, I didn't, but the Barnes and Noble was attached to the Encinitas location! 5 stars for the smell of coffee. My experience... was fine. I love this Starbucks! It's right inside of Vons and they accept EBT for any of the cold drinks. That affords me to treat myself... often! Read more
