Looking for a good Starbucks in San Diego, one with a warm local vibe and a friendly outside "pedestrian" sitting area - try... Normal Heights. This location has a nice community feel to it, a mix of friendly locals, some on the fly in / out - othersmoving slower with dogs and babies! Although typically busy, it never seems crowded inside the Lobby. Lots of windows to seeoutside. The ceiling has a nice high quality avant garde custom finish. Good tunes. Parking in the lot, or 2 hrs free onAdams. Two of the Baristas who always shine here with exceptional customer service and a friendly smile are Paola & Alexia. Their positive attitudes, attention to detail and retail courtesy make buying a Black Grande Pike - a special part of themorning. The employees here (at least the ones working the Thurs morning shift) were so friendly and helpful. They were all very cheerful... and seemed genuinely excited to be interacting with the customers. An elderly woman came in at one point and they were so kindto her and even walked her all the way out to her car and held her hand so she wouldn't fall. It was nice to see them goingabove and beyond in creating a good customer experience. Read more

Very friendly staff! Love coming here for coffee. There was a brief period recently when you couldn't tell when or what time... they'd be open, if they opened, but I think that was Covid related and it seems they have enough staff now to keep the operatinghours listed consistently. Oh, and dogs love it here cause puppyccinos! :)) Read more
I was there Sunday morning, 3/06/2022, and extremely busy and very under staffed. A women with red hair was working and she was... very polite and kept a smile on her face the entire time. I imagine she felt very stressed and overwhelmed but she didn?t showit at all! Amazing customer service, she deserves a raise! Read more
