Do not waste your time and money on breakfast buffet _ there are tastier options in walking distance! Staff nice but bacon soggy... and didn?t taste like bacon, sausage greasy also with no flavor, pastries very dry and cold. They even messed up s Read more

Ok breakfast attached to the hotel. The food was luke warm and the salt and pepper packs were moist all the time we went. We... went due to issues to our room so we got free breakfast but not really a good tasting breakfast here and always had to ask toget drinks. Not bad but service and food think somewhere else. If you aren?t getting it for free, don?t even bother. The service is hostile and the food is worse than a continental breakfast.... Cancelled my dinner reservations based on my breakfast experience alone. Read more

The Soleil@K is a very nice semi-upscale restaurant within the Downtown Marriott on K street. We were there for the breakfast... which had great options on their 'buffet'. Along with sausage gravy and biscuits, soft scrambled eggs and multiple types ofbreakfast meats, one could order made-to-order eggs and french toast. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Took my wife there to propose to her. So I can first hand tell you that the service was great. I called ahead of time to plan my... proposal and the hostess along with the waiter not only helped make it happen, but they gave me ideas and never once made itseem like they couldn't help me or if they were making it less important. The food was great, the decor was awesome as well. Anice low light venue with large glass windows that when opened give you a nice feel for whats going on outside while enjoyingyour meal inside. A real gem. We were in town for a convention, and found Latitude Lounge to be a relaxed atmosphere for lunch service in a sea of... crowded restaurants. We had a quiet street-side outdoor table (though the street itself wasn't quiet). The food and beverageswere great quality for the price. I can definitely vouch for the lunchtime special here! The experience overall was very disappointing. The prices were way too high, and I felt that the service was unprofessional and... irritating. The wait staff up-sell aggressively, and it really took away from being able to enjoy a special occassion with mywife. It was like being at a used car lot. Wait staff were also flirting with each other and goofing around right next to mytable, and I figured for $120 meal, I shouldnt have to deal with that. The appetizers were good, but certainly over-priced. Theentrees really werent very good. The $36 steak is just a lump of fat with some garnish. I could have bought the same thing for$4.50 at the Piggly Wiggly Super Saver. I expected more. I had the chicken, which was decent, but not at all worth $24. Its justa thick chunk of meat with a light batter and heavy sauce. Pretty cheap - not in line with the class this restaurant boasts. Itcame with freeze package potatoes, not fresh. The potatoes were truly gross. It was a waste, and I felt taken advantage of.Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The lounge on the roof though is pretty cool - much smaller and morecrammed than advertised, but nice. Go there instead. Read more
