I have been looking for soul food out here for a while. I got the Alfredo and decided to add chicken and shrimp as well as the 3... sides for $14 (red beans and rice, mac and cheese, and candied yams) also peach cobbler for dessert. Overall if this was out of10, I would give it an 8.5 only for the fact the Alfredo wasn't saucy at all. It gave all the spices it needed to, but thenoodles were literally dry as all get out. I literally ate the meat out of it and a few noodles. I felt like it was too muchwork to make sauce to wet up the noodles because they should have come saucy from the start. ALL of the sides and the peachcobbler were 10/10. I would literally go here JUST for the sides. The portion sizes were great. I just hated that I spent $50only to like the sides and dessert. Had the pasta been saucy it probably would have been good. Read more

Two stars for the catfish. Everything else was bad. The ribs had flavor I guess but they were tough as jerky. The Mac and cheese... was not good, the potato salad tasted like straight sugar, the dirty rice needed to be seasoned. Collard greens weren?t bad.Peach cobbler tasted like canned peaches, granulated sugar, and white bread. Needs some love in there. Read more

We've been occasionally ordering shotcallers throughout two years. We always had liked their food but the last 6-8 months their... food has become bland and undercooked. I'm extremely disappointed, and I hate the fact that they keep changing their recipes.Their quality of food as gotten increasingly worse as they increase the prices. Just tonight we got bland, watered down, undercooked corn with some jalapenos, and they call it "street corn." what a LIE. Also if you try to respond and argue thisreview, YOU KNOW YOU LYING, QUIT PLAYING. Read more

I was really shocked to see such low reviews at this place but our food was pretty effing good! The surf & turf fries &&... Soulritto were good even as left overs. The banana pudding was decent but I didn?t expect my granny?s pudding coming from theback, so it?s all good. I would go back to try other items on the menu. Read more

This was my second time giving this place a try and I shouldn?t have I wasted $31 on a meal . The turkey wing was very dry and... over cooked . The street corn just taste like regular corn and don?t even get me get started on the greens . This is probablythe most horrible place I?ve been to in Cali for soul food . Read more

Nice people but it's a no for us. This is the second time we've tried it. Not seasoned well and just not good. All the sides you... typically associate with southern food, yams/mac n cheese/greens, cost extra. $42 for food we didn't enjoy. Adding extrapictures in response to the owner. The price increase isn't the typical increase due to using a service. Some side items have anextra charge when ordering a combo. You can't convince me grub hub or any service decide the greens should cost a $1 more thanany other side item. Read more
