I ordered a lamb hot pot combo and the BBQ lamb skewers today. The soup in the hot pot is good. The lamb meat is just well done... in the hot pot. Lamb skewers I ordered are good too but could be a bit saltier, but over it taste great, don’t bother. I willbe back again. Cheers! Read more

Very bad experience, extremely slow delivering food, hard to find a server to help, gave wrong order twice. The wrong order was... firstly put in our plate (no gloves at all, the food touched the plate we already used) and then given to the table next to us.That’s RIDICULOUS and UNACCEPTABLE during Covid. What kind of heaven did we just experience tonight?! We walked into this Chinese BBQ (renamed Shentan BBQ) not knowing what to... expect because it was just one of those nights where we didn’t know what we wanted! Nothing short of impressed! We tried theShentan Chow Mein, the stir fried beef noodle, the egg drop soup, and a lamb skewer! The Chow Mein is vegetarian, and had thebest textured noodles ever. The beef noodles, the meat was cooked perfectly, it melted in your mouth, the noodles weredelicious, and the lamb skewer (omg) cooked and seasoned to perfection! I didn’t get a picture of the egg drop soup because Iwas too busy stuffing my face, but wow! The soup was fresh, it was light, and it was the perfect to balance out the noodles! I have to give this place a full 5 star!!! I just feel happy to find an authentic Chinese BBQ place with other late night food... options plus alcohol drinks. My husband needs to drink while he’s eating dinner - sake or wine. It’s kinda hard to find aChinese street food place to serve liquor. But gladly Shentan has both of what we want. I want real Chinese food - Malatang,skewers, Jianbing, spicy dry pot…. They have all of them. I guess I have to come back to try them all. I tried Ma Latang,it’s quite delicious. Essentially a Chinese version of Japanese yakitori restaurant, this seems primarily focused on being a late-night establishment.... That didn't stop us from enjoying our early-evening dinner, though. A team approach to service got things done, and the spaceis clean and always appears recently remodeled. All of the meats we tried were flavored with the same seasoning mix, which gotto be a little much, but they were all cooked well and tasty nonetheless. It is not authentic northeastern China BBQ style. It added a garlic and sour sauce. I don’t like it. But Ingredients are... great. Fresh and clean. Not recommended for those who want to eat authentic Northeastern BBQ. Read more
