Saiko Sushi is located in a prime spot of the North Park nightlife. It's more of a modern-day sushi type restaurant. More rolls... than edo-style sushi. I went with my cousins to try their Omakase. It's not edo-style omakase, which I thought it would be,More modern style. It was okay, my expectation was like the standard omakase nigiri course. If you're looking for theme sushirolls and a place to enjoy Japanese food this place would be a place for you. Vibe is good for a party of 2. One of my favorite restaurants in San Diego. The service here alone is enough to warrant a visit. I have a very mild food... allergy and the sushi bar and staff went out of their way to accommodate me. The food is always so good. Great, creative rollswith amazing fresh fish. So delicious. They were really understaffed during our visit and still made a point to be so kind andserve us an amazing dinner. Read more
Great happy hour! Go early and take advantage of it. I loved all the rolls we ordered and the sake flights were excellent as... well. I've never tried so many types of sake in one sitting. Service was top notch also. Read more
My husband likes this place but I feel it’s just fine. The sashimi plate we ordered is very nice, I definitely loved the... bluefin tuna in that. But the sushi nigiri and rolls here are too fusion for me which I enjoy the simple taste more which I canfeel what the real ingredients are. The cocktails here are very nice, both of us like those. The price is little too high fortheir food quality. But again, my husband loved here very much. So different people prefer different things. Read more
Friendly staff, great drinks and happy hour specials. Great selection of Sake to choose from - including Sake flights. Pretty... cool decor with 5 cats who will watch you eat at the bar. I enjoyed the Kimchi, fried chicken skins and Yellowtail sashimi. Ididn't really enjoy the Salt and Pepper chicken wings - very dry. Read more
This place is amazing. Sake flights were great way to taste a variety of sakes and are grouped according to your palate. The... cristalball,salmon avocado, and rainbow rolls were incredible. Highly recommend this sushi bar. Our family has huge sushi snobsand we unanimously declared Saiko as the best!! Read more
