Reviews for Queenstown Public House in San Diego, CA
I thought the prices were reasonable because of the amount of food you get. You can easily share an appetizer and be done with... dinner. My favorite appetizer was the mac n cheese. I would have to say I have never had it like that before. The pot pie wasgood: the crust was in a cast iron skillet and served on a chopping board. I thought it was cute. The building and seating wererustic-like, and I loved the appeal of the way it was dressed. It was a little cramped, but the food was worth it. Read more
It was my friend and I's first time dining at this restaurant. The restaurant has a great set of people. They are so sweet, so... welcoming, and working very hard to provide a great service and experience to everyone. It was very busy yet the staff is justso darn nice and kind. Our waiter was such a handsome nice guy, we asked for suggestions on our food and drink and he patientlyexplained everything. The food was just delicious. You can see in the pictures that the portion size is quite big. It wasseasoned perfectly and the salad dressing was just yummy. We ordered coffee afterward and it was freshly brewed and tasted verygood. Despite most restaurants, they would never rush you to leave, and they would never ignore you. They would come and checkup on you just to see if you need anything and they would never bring you a check before you ask. We spent one hour and 30minutes and enjoyed every minute of the stay. In general, we had a GREAT night, delicious food, amazing experience and we willdefinitely go back. Read more
Cute brunch place with great service, vibes, and food! Got the croissant sandwich & tots and the strawberry lemonade and both... were so delicious! The croissant sandwich was nice and light with a perfectly poached/runny egg. The tots were nice andcrispy. Friend got the Oink.. it was too sweet for me and the cornbread was kind of dry. The pulled pork almost felt like avery sweet glaze for the jalapeño cornbread. I wouldn’t recommend unless you have a very sweet tooth. Read more
Wait in line for half an hour on Sunday at noon, and totally worth it! Breakfast Poutine and French toast are amazing. Love tots... with that savory gravy sauce and cinnamon butter came with extra soft toast. Also got a lamb hash and the cure, which are notimpressive. Fried chicken was dry. Lamb was plain. This place is lovely and i really like the chill vibe:) Read more
The venue is a beautiful old sandblasted house that’s been done up all quirky. They have a pretty cool looking bar area on the... inside. I liked the overhanging trellises and old park bench seats. The food is pretty good, especially the chicken. Theavocado burger and hummus dip were also very tasty. I’m giving this experience four stars because it’s just a bitoverpriced. If each dish was $3-5 cheaper, this would be a 5-star restaurant. Read more
Charming New Zealand themed eatery and pub in San Diego’s Little Italy neighborhood. The menu features a variety of specialty... burgers. Stop by during happy hour for slider versions if you want to try them all. The cocktails here are noteworthy aswell. The restaurant itself is bright and airy with a quirky, whimsical theme to the decor. There’s also plenty of outdoorseating, making it the perfect place for brunch or a sunset dinner. Read more
Food portions are enough to share. The food isn't cooked to order thus coming out only warm to the touch. I would have preferred... a hot waffle and Chicken. Very nice ambience and customer service was great. The downside FOR ME are the pet dogs dining (notservice animals), but it is like this EVERYWHERE in San Diego. Read more
Went with a group of friends for brunch. Lucked out by barely needing to wait at all for a table for six (I wouldn't recommend... rolling the dice with that though). No complains at all. Definitely worth going! Great Bloody Mary. Delicious food. Relativelybig portions. Friendly service. Unique atmosphere. There really isn't much else you can ask for! Read more
