Best poke place in San Diego! The sauces are amazing and they have endless toppings! The serving sizes are very generous and the... staff is so nice. I loved the soda selection too - vanilla cream soda - pls get it! Read more

Battling food poisoning from this place after dinner last night. First and only experience eating here, won't be back. There was... only one individual working and while I don't think it's their fault alone, I'm concerned some food safety shortcuts were takenbecause they had no assistance and the fish was no longer safe for consumption. Poki Vida is great for the Poki. Not the current service. There have been probably 2 workers out of everyone that are actually... kind to me and my family. Other than that, every worker gives me dirty looks, makes the bowls PAINFULLY slow, and makes us feelcompletely unwelcome. It?s really sad to walk into a place where you?re so excited to eat yummy food and literally give yourmoney to a local business. But then, the worker isn?t excited to see you whatsoever it actually looks like their face isscreaming for us to leave. And then, they make the bowl and just dread having to do anything. It just sucks bc we love thisplace & I don?t know why we get treated this way. Tonight, I was charged extra for imitation crab scoops as protein scoops. andthat?s just never happened before. I was just so confused. To explain, I had two separate orders. On the first, the woman whowasn?t helping us told the woman who was helping us to not charge for the 1 scoop. I was very appreciative. On the second order,I was charged for the 2 extra scoops. I never want to negotiate prices with a business because I want to be supportive! But I?dlike to know if that?s a new rule? I truly do enjoy the food here. I love that it?s local. I love that I can walk and it?s soyummy. But I hate feeling like the workers want me to get out of their hair already. Read more

This is the worst poke place in town. Let me tell you that something was tasting moldy in my bowl. Of course it ended up in the... trash dispenser. I got few bites of the fish from the top and it was completely tasteless and when I got the rice from thebottom that's when the moldy taste spread in my mouth. Was the rice moldy?! I don't know, but something was rotten in thatbowl. This place is way more expensive than many other poke places. Moreover, they had only salmon, tuna and shrimp for theirprotein choice. Whoaaaaa,. Not many choices for toppings either. Fish no flavor, rice moldy, no toppings. This place is a joke.I regret I went to take my lunch there. Made my stomach sick and left me hungry for the day. Horrible!!! I paid $20 for a smallbowl including tip. Read more

I ordered a small Build Your Own Bowl by Uber eats and am very happy with the restaurant speed and service. They got the food... ready within 5 minutes and packed the utensils in the bag. Love the idea of BYOB that you can choose everything like protein, topping, sauce from a wide variety. Their salmon and tuna are very fresh. Small bowl is a perfect size for a light lunch Read more

After being forced to shut down due to COVID, Poke Vida is once again open and serving their fresh poke bowls - it's similar to... other poke places where you go through the steps to choosing the ingredients, sauces and toppings, but has lots of items I'venot seen at other places - like adding pineapple, mango, picked beets, soba noodles, corn, and eel sauce. Well worth the visit. Read more
